Gintaras Kantvilas (born 1956) is an Australian lichenologist, who earned his Ph.D. in 1985 from the University of Tasmania with a thesis entitled ''Studies on Tasmanian rainforest lichens''. He has authored over 432 species names, and 167 genera in the field of mycology Mycology is the branch of biology concerned with the study of fungus, fungi, including their Taxonomy (biology), taxonomy, genetics, biochemistry, biochemical properties, and ethnomycology, use by humans. Gintaras Steponavičius (born 23 July 1967 in Klaipėda) is a Lithuanian former Liberal politician, retiring from politics in 2020. He was member of the Seimas and Senior Deputy Chair of the Lithuanian Liberal Movement Party. Steponavičius was the Minister of Education and Science in Kubilius Cabinet. Gintaras Staučė (born 24 December 1969) is a Lithuanian football coach and former player who is currently the goalkeeping coach of the Kazakhstan national team. Club career Among the other teams he played for were Spartak Moscow, Galatasaray in Turkey, and the Bundesliga's MSV Duisburg. International career An outstanding goalkeeper, he won 61 caps for the Lithuanian national football team, and is the former record holder for his country. Gintaras Sodeika (born 27 April 1961 in Vilnius, Lithuania) is a Lithuanian painter, composer and politician. From 2003 to 2008, Sodeika was the Lithuanian Vice-Minister for Culture. Gintaras Savukynas (born 18 February 1971) is a professional Lithuanian handball player, who played in center back position. Savukynas played in the World and European championships with the Lithuania National Handball team as the team captain. In 2005, he officially announced the end of his career as a player, to which he became an assistant coach for the Lithuania men's national handball team, before becoming the head of the national handball team for five years.
