Giedrius Žibėnas
Giedrius Žibėnas (born 6 April 1984) is a Lithuanian professional basketball coach. He is currently the head coach for Rytas Vilnius of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL). Coaching career Žibėnas started his coaching career in 2012 with Zanavykas Šakiai of the NKL, the second division of Lithuania. He later worked as an assistant coach with the Polish club Czarni Słupsk. On 8 August 2018, Žibėnas was named the head coach of Stapac Jakarta of the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL). He led the club to its fifth IBL championship in the 2018–19 season. In June 2020, Žibėnas returned to Lithuania and signed with Rytas Vilnius as an assistant coach under Donaldas Kairys. In January 2021, he replaced Kairys as head coach of Rytas. Later that season, he signed a new one-year contract with the club. Basketball coaching is the act of directing and strategizing the behavior of a basketball team or individual basketball player. Basketball coaching typically encompasses the improvement of individual and team offensive and defensive skills, as well as overall physical conditioning. Coaches also have the responsibility to improve their team by player development, strategy, and in-game management. Coaches also teach and inspire their team to be their best. Coaching is usually performed by a single person, often with the help of one or more assistants. EuroBasket 2022
The EuroBasket 2022 was the 41st edition of the EuroBasket championship organized by FIBA Europe. It was the first since it was agreed it would take place every four years, with a similar system of qualification as for the FIBA Basketball World Cup. It was originally scheduled to take place between 2 and 19 September 2021, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent postponement of the 2020 Summer Olympics to 2021, it was postponed to September 2022. Kazys Maksvytis
Kazys Maksvytis (born 15 June 1977) is a Lithuanian professional basketball coach who currently serves as the head coach of Manisa Basket of Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL).
