''Giderli 16'' (''Break Up 16'') is the seventh studio album by Turkish singer Demet Akalın. It was released on 19 November 2012 by Seyhan Müzik. Background and promotion For this album, Akalın worked with a number of different artists, including Sinan Akçıl, Ersay Üner, Gökhan Şahin, Emrah Karaduman, Altan Çetin, Gökhan Özen, Ayla Çelik, Gökhan Tepe, Ceyhun Çelikten, Hakan Tunçbilek, Emirkan, Özcan Deniz, Günay Çoban, Niran Ünsal, Murat Güneş, Cansu Kurtçu, Deniz Erten, Erhan Bayrak, and Suat Aydoğan. To promote the album, Akalın began a tour of concerts, starting at locations such as the Zincirlikuyu Airport. Demet Akalın
Demet Akalın (born 23 April 1972) is a Turkish people, Turkish singer and former model. Due to the popular songs she has released since the middle of the 2000s, she has become one of the most recognizable names of Turkish pop music. Akalın, who was born in Gölcük, Kocaeli, Gölcük, Kocaeli Province, Kocaeli, initially decided to pursue a career in modeling and started working as a model for Neşe Erberk's agency. Background and promotion For this album, Akalın worked with a number of different artists, including Burak Yeter, Cansu Kurtcu, Ceyhun Çelikten, Erdem Kınay, Erem Yıldız, Erhan Bayrak, Emrah Karaduman, Ersay Üner, Lerzan Mutlu, Fettah Can, Gökhan Özen, Gökhan Şahin, Hakkı Yalçın and İdo Tatlıses. To promote the album, Akalın gave various concerts across Turkey, including a concert at the Bostancı Show Center in May 2014, for which she spent 70,000 on decoration and was accompanied by 30 dancers. The album's cover was designed by Müjdat Kupsi and Özlem Semiz. Later it was revealed that Akalın's head had been photoshopped into a photo of model Carla Crombie from 2013. Sinan Akçıl (born 20 May 1982) is a Turkish composer, singer, songwriter and record producer. He is known for producing Hadise's Eurovision 2009 song for Turkey, called "Düm Tek Tek". Personal life Akçıl was born to Albanian parents in the Netherlands. He married popular Turkish actress and model Burcu Kıratlı in Turkish Consulate in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, on 24 December 2018 with a simple marriage ceremony.
