Tomáš Šmíd
Tomáš Šmíd (born 20 May 1956) is a former tennis player from Czechoslovakia, who won nine singles titles during his career. In doubles, he won 54 titles and was world No. 1 in doubles from December 17, 1984, to August 11, 1985. The right-hander reached his highest ATP singles ranking of world No. 11 in July 1984. Šmíd participated in 31 Davis Cup ties for Czechoslovakia from 1977 to 1989, posting a 20–10 record in doubles and a 22–15 record in singles. Pavel Složil
Pavel Složil (born 29 December 1955) is a former professional tennis player from Czechoslovakia. Složil enjoyed most of his tennis success while playing doubles. During his career, he won 32 doubles titles and finished runner-up an additional 29 times, including at the French Open in. Slozil and his partner, Renata Tomanová (also from Czechoslovakia), won the 1978 French Open mixed-doubles championship, defeating Virginia Ruzici (Romania) and Patrice Dominguez (France). The mixed doubles championship was an important event in those days, contested by top players, with John McEnroe and Mary Carillo having won the year before. Christophe Roger-Vasselin (; born 8 July 1957) is a French former professional tennis player. Notably in his singles career, he reached the French Open semifinals in 1983, beating No. 1 seed Jimmy Connors in the quarterfinals, but lost to eventual champion Yannick Noah. The right-hander reached his highest singles ATP ranking on 20 June 1983, when he became world No. 29. Roger-Vasselin won two doubles titles during his professional career. The Bordeaux Grand Prix was a men's tennis tournament founded in 1979 as the Bordeaux Open. It was the successor event to the Bordeaux International (1907–1969) played at the same venue. It was held annually under variations of the name including the Grand Prix Passing Shot and was part of the Grand Prix tennis circuit tour. It then became an ATP Tour event until 1995.
