Gheorghe Hioară
Gheorghe Hioară (15 August 1948 – 15 December 2024) was a Moldovan diplomat and politician. He was the ambassador to Belarus from 2010 to 2017. Life and career Hioară was born on 15 August 1948, in the Moldovan SSR. He studied at Moscow State University between 1997 and 2003. In 1997, he was appointed a member of the embassy staff in Bulgaria and became the Ambassador of Moldova to Bulgaria in 1998. He would maintain this position until 2003. Mihai Ghimpu (born 19 November 1951) is a Moldovan politician who served as Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament, President of the Moldovan Parliament and President of Moldova#Republic of Moldova (1991–present), Acting President of Moldova from 2009 to 2010. He was member of Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, Parliament of Moldova from 1990 to 1998 and from 2009 to 2019. Ion Ciubuc
Ion Ciubuc (; 29 May 1943 – 29 January 2018) was a Moldovan economist and politician who served as the 3rd Prime Minister of Moldova from January 1997 to February 1999. Biography Ion Ciubuc was born on 29 May 1943 in the village of Hădărăuți, at the time in Hotin County, today in Ocnița District. He graduated from the Agricultural Institute in Odessa in 1970, obtaining the qualification of a specialist in the agrarian economy. He subsequently obtained his Ph.D. in economics. He initially worked as an economist at the "1 Mai" kolkhoz in the village of Hădărăuți (1960–1963), after which he satisfied his compulsory military service in the Soviet Army (1963–1966). The Popular Front of Moldova (PFM; , FPM) was a political movement in the Moldavian SSR, one of the 15 union republics of the former Soviet Union, and in the newly independent Moldova, Republic of Moldova. He served as a member of the Moldovan Parliament from 1990 to 1994 and was one of the signatories of the Declaration of Independence of Moldova.
