Getir (; "bring" in Turkish) is a Turkish company, operating in several countries until 2024, founded as a startup company in 2015 that offers rapid on-demand delivery services for grocery items and a courier service for restaurant food deliveries, accessed via a mobile app. In March 2022, Getir announced that it had raised US$768 million in its Series E, valuing the company at nearly $12 billion, but a further funding round in mid-2023 valued the company at a quarter of that figure. From 2023, Getir started to withdraw from other countries than Turkey, announcing withdrawal from all other countries in April 2024. Closure of all their market operations outside of Turkey was completed in May 2024. Gorillas (company)
Gorillas was a German ultrafast grocery delivery company which used dark stores between its founding in 2020 and its end in May 2024. Users could order grocery products through the Gorillas app. In December 2022, the company was acquired by Getir. As of July 2023, it operates in around 35 cities from roughly 130 locations in four countries. It sold its Belgium operations to Efarmz and withdrew from Italy, Spain, Denmark, and most recently France. Batman (; ) is a city and capital of Batman District in Batman Province, Turkey.
