Get That Feeling
''Get That Feeling'' is an album by Jimi Hendrix and Curtis Knight. It was released in 1967 and charted in both the US and the UK. Background The album appeared after the initial success of the Jimi Hendrix Experience in 1967, and consists of old studio recordings from years before that had not been intended for release, with Hendrix performing in the backing band during sessions for an album by Knight. There is some dispute about who sings lead vocals on some of the tracks. The song "Hush Now" was released as single. According to '' Sounds'' magazine in the issue dated September 17, 1977, ''Get That Feeling'' was reviewed in the March 9, 1968 issue of ''Rolling Stone''. James Marshall "Jimi" Hendrix (born Johnny Allen Hendrix; November 27, 1942September 18, 1970) was an American singer-songwriter and musician. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential guitarists of all time. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992 as a part of his band, the Jimi Hendrix Experience, the institution describes him as "arguably the greatest instrumentalist in the history of rock music." Born in Seattle, Washington, Hendrix began playing guitar at age 15. In 1961, he enlisted in the US Army, but was discharged the following year. Soon afterward, he moved to Clarksville, then Nashville, Tennessee, and began playing gigs on the Chitlin' Circuit, earning a place in the Isley Brothers' backing band and later with Little Richard, with whom he continued to work through mid-1965. ''Wild Honey'' is the thirteenth studio album by the American Rock music, rock band the Beach Boys, released on December 18, 1967, by Capitol Records. It was the group's first foray into soul music and was heavily influenced by the Rhythm and blues, R&B of Motown and Stax Records. The album was the band's worst-selling at that point, charting at number 24 in the US. Lead single "Wild Honey (The Beach Boys song), Wild Honey" peaked at number 31, while its follow-up "Darlin' (The Beach Boys song), Darlin" reached number 19. In the UK, the album peaked at number seven. The Official Albums Chart is the United Kingdom's industry-recognised national record chart for album, albums. Entries are ranked by sales and audio streaming. It was published for the first time on 22 July 1956 and is compiled every week by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on Fridays (previously Sundays). It is broadcast on BBC Radio 1 (top 5) and found on the OCC website as a Top 100 or on ''UKChartsPlus'' as a Top 200, with positions continuing until all sales have been tracked in data only available to industry insiders. The publication was founded by Walt Grealis in February 1964, supported through its existence by record label owner Stan Klees. ''RPM'' ceased publication in November 2000.
