The Germany national American football team, nicknamed the ''Men in Black'', is the official American football senior national team of Germany. They are organized by the American Football Verband Deutschland (AFVD). They get their players from teams of the German Football League (GFL). They are the only national team to have beat the United States men's national American football team, winning 13-14. 2015 IFAF World Championship
The 2015 IFAF World Championship was the fifth instance of the IFAF World Championship, an international American football tournament. The United States hosted the tournament. Seven teams had confirmed their participation for the tournament in Canton, Ohio. The tournament was to be hosted by Stockholm, Sweden, with all games to be take place at the Tele2 Arena. However, on 19 December 2014, the local organizing committee announced that it had to cancel after failing to set up a sponsorship structure. USA Football then announced that the tournament would be held at the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton. The United States won their third consecutive championship in their third appearance, defeating Japan 59–12 in the final. Sports Radio America internationally broadcast the gold medal game. The 2021 European Championship was the 15th European Championship in American football. The preliminary round has been played around Europe from 21 September to 2 November 2019. The final round was scheduled to be played in 2020, but due to the COVID-pandemic it was postponed to 2021, and was played in August and October 2021. In 2021 6 out of the scheduled 12 games has not been played, including the semi-final between reigning champion France and Italy. Qualification The Qualification for the European Championship 2018 was held in three stages. In the first round, twelve teams played a single playoff round. The 2014 European Championship was the 13th European Championship of American football. The competition was held in Austria between May 30 and June 7, 2014. The top three teams qualified for the 2015 IFAF World Championship. Qualification Since 2003, the European Championships have been held in three different stages, with the winners of the C- and B-Pool tournaments each being promoted to the next-highest level.
