The Germany national baseball team is the national baseball team for Germany. They are a contender for the European Baseball Championship, and have competed in the Baseball World Cup. The German Baseball and Softball Federation (DBV) () is the Sports governing body, national governing body of baseball and softball in Germany. Hoofddorp
Hoofddorp (; ) is the main town of the municipality of Haarlemmermeer, in the province of North Holland, the Netherlands. In 2021, the population was 77,885. The town was founded in 1853, immediately after the Haarlemmermeer had been drained. History After the draining of the Haarlemmermeer, two villages, Kruisdorp (Crossvillage) and Venneperdorp (Vennepervillage), were founded in the centre of the polder. In 1868, they were renamed to Hoofddorp, as there already was another Kruisdorp in Zeeland, and Nieuw-Vennep respectively. Hoofddorp became more prosperous than Nieuw-Vennep, and it rapidly became the most important place of the district. Super 6 Baseball And Softball
The Super 6 Baseball and Softball is a tournament between national baseball teams in Europe, governed by the Confederation of European Baseball (CEB), the European Softball Federation (ESF) and the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC). It was held for the first and only time from September 18 to 23, 2018 in Hoofddorp, Netherlands. It was organized by the Royal Dutch Baseball and Softball Association (KNBSB), the City of Hoofddorp and the local baseball club Hoofddorp Pioniers. It was featured by the top 6 nations of the 2016 European Championship and ESF Women's Championship. The 2018 Haarlem Baseball Week was an international baseball competition held at Pim Mulier Stadium in Haarlem, the Netherlands from 13–22 July 2018. It was the 29th edition of the tournament.
