Gerard Badía
Gerard Badía Cortés (born 18 October 1989) is a Spanish footballer who plays for FC Ascó as a midfielder. He spent his professional career with Guadalajara and Piast Gliwice, winning the Ekstraklasa with the latter club. Club career Born in Horta de Sant Joan, Province of Tarragona, Catalonia, Badía all but spent his career in his country in the lower leagues. The exception to this was in the 2011–12 and 2012–13 seasons, when he appeared for CD Guadalajara in the Segunda División. Badía signed with Polish club Piast Gliwice in February 2014, from SD Noja. He made his Ekstraklasa debut on the 17th, coming on as a late substitute in a 0–1 home loss against Wisła Kraków. In the 2018–19 campaign, Badía contributed 21 matches and two goals as Piast won the first national championship in their 74-year history. Horta De Sant Joan
Horta de Sant Joan is a village and municipality in comarca of Terra Alta in Catalonia, Spain. Pablo Picasso spent a year in this town and learned a considerable amount of his artistic skills in the town. History Because of its location on a small hill with a natural spring near the top, Horta has been inhabited for centuries. It was a great advantage during medieval sieges, to not be forced to get water from the rivers outside of town. The earliest inhabitants were Iberians, who lived in the area until the arrival of the Romans. In the 8th century Horta, like most of Spain, was under Muslim rule, then reconquered by Christians in the 12th Century. There are still olive trees, like the 1,000-year-old Parot, that were planted by the Muslims during their 400-year rule. The 2012–13 Segunda División season (known as the Liga Adelante for sponsorship reasons) was the 82nd since its establishment. 2018–19 Ekstraklasa
The 2018–19 Ekstraklasa was the 93rd season of the Polish Football Championship, the 85th season of the highest tier domestic division in the Polish football league system since its establishment in 1927 and the 11th season of the Ekstraklasa under its current title. The league was operated by the Ekstraklasa SA. The season started on 20 July 2018 and concluded on 19 May 2019. It is the second Ekstraklasa season to use VAR. After the 20th matchday the league went on a winter break between 23 December 2018 and 8 February 2019. The regular season was played as a round-robin tournament. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Prior to this most games were played with no changes permitted at all, with occasional exceptions in cases of extreme injury or players not arriving to matches on time.
