Gerald Ugle
Gerald Ugle (born 31 January 1993) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Greater Western Sydney Giants in the Australian Football League (AFL). Ugle has several relatives with AFL experience; former West Coast Eagles player Troy Ugle is his great uncle and former Collingwood Football Club, Collingwood player Kirk Ugle is his first cousin. Early life He began attending Guildford Grammar School in year 9 on an Indigenous scholarship. Playing on the football team, he eventually captained the school football team. He graduated year 12 in 2010. As a 15-year-old he won the reserves best and fairest award for Beverley Football Club in the Avon Football Association despite missing large parts of the season. Ugle represented Western Australia at 2009 U-16 and 2010 U-18 National Championships. The Peel Thunder Football Club is an Australian rules football club playing in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW). The team is based in Mandurah, Western Australia, with their home ground being Rushton Park. The club joined the WAFL as an expansion team in 1997. Since 2014 Peel have been in a formal alignment with the Fremantle Dockers of the Australian Football League, an arrangement which sees Fremantle's reserve players play for Peel. Ben Howlett (born 21 October 1988) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Essendon Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Howlett was selected by Essendon with pick 30 in the 2010 rookie draft, as a 21-year-old from Peel Thunder in the West Australian Football League. His final season with Peel Thunder saw him claim the club's best and fairest award. He was promoted to Essendon's senior list in the 2010 season. Howlett, along with 33 other Essendon players, was found guilty of using a banned performance-enhancing substance, thymosin beta-4, as part of Essendon's sports supplements program during the 2012 season. He and his teammates were initially found not guilty in March 2015 by the AFL Anti-Doping Tribunal, but a guilty verdict was returned in January 2016 after an appeal by the World Anti-Doping Agency. The 2019 WAFL season (officially the 2019 Optus WAFL Premiership Season) was the 135th season of the various incarnations of the West Australian Football League (WAFL). The Subiaco Football Club, nicknamed the Lions and known before 1973 as the ''Maroons'', is an Australian rules football club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW). It was founded in 1896, and admitted to the WAFL in 1901, along with North Fremantle. The club is currently based at Leederville Oval, having previously played at Subiaco Oval.
