Gerald FitzGerald, Knight Of Glin
Gerald FitzGerald, 17th Knight of Glin (died 1689) was an Irish Jacobite soldier and politician. FitzGerald was the son of John FitzGerald, 16th Knight of Glin and Honora O'Connor. Between 1661 and 1666, FitzGerald was the Member of Parliament for Limerick City in the Irish House of Commons. In 1680, he was appointed High Sheriff of County Limerick. George Evans (1655–1720)
George Evans PC(I) (1655 – May 1720) was an Anglo-Irish politician. Evans was the son of George Evans of Ballyphilip and Anne Bowerman. He was a supporter of William III during the Williamite War in Ireland. In 1692, he was elected as a Member of Parliament for County Limerick in the Irish House of Commons. He subsequently represented Askeaton from 1695 to 1699, and Charleville between 1703 and 1713. He represented Charleville from 1715 until his death in 1720. In 1717, Evans was made a member of the Privy Council of Ireland. In 1679, Evans married Mary Eyre; they had three sons and seven daughters. The FitzGerald/FitzMaurice Dynasty is a noble and aristocratic dynasty of Cambro-Normans, Cambro-Norman, Anglo-Normans, Anglo-Norman and later Hiberno-Norman origin. Sir Standish Hartstonge, 1st Baronet (1627–August 1701Oliver 1973 pp.42, 45) was an English-born lawyer who had a distinguished career as a judge in Ireland, but was twice removed from office. He was also a very substantial landowner in Ireland and England. His last years were marked by bitter family disputes with his eldest grandson, who inherited the baronetcy, but not the family estates, which passed to the judge's youngest surviving son.
