AO Diomidis Argous () is a Greek handball team based in Argos, that plays in the Handball Premier. History The club was founded in 1976. The handball department was founded in the club in 1984. The team was named after Diomedes, the former king of the city of Argos, who became famous in the Trojan War. The symbol of the team is the ancient wolf with the crown of King Diomedes. Greece Men's National Handball Team
The Greece national handball team is the national handball team of Greece and is controlled by the Hellenic Handball Federation. Greece has a long tradition in handball. First of all, Greece made it to the handball 2005 World Cup and the 2004 Olympics where they beat Brazil, Korea and won against Egypt in a close game. In the Olympics they lost to eventual champions Croatia, and finished sixth in the tournament. In the World Cup they finished in the sixth position as well. Greece will take part in the EHF Euro for the first time in 2024. (Greek: Πανελλήνιος Γ.Σ.), full name, Panellinios Gymnastikos Syllogos (Greek: Πανελλήνιος Γυμναστικός Σύλλογος), is a Greek multi-sport club that is located in Athens and was founded in 1891. It is one of the oldest and more successful multi-sports clubs in Greece and also one of the oldest sports clubs in Europe.
