Georgios Papapetrou
Georgios Papapetrou (alternate spelling: Giorgos) (Greek: Γιώργος Παπαπέτρου; born November 23, 1991, in Athens, Greece) is a Greek professional basketball player. He is tall, and he plays at the point guard position. College career Papapetrou played college basketball at Ranger College, and at Franklin Pierce University. Professional career In 2014, Papapetrou began his professional career with the Greek League club Koroivos Amaliadas. In 2015, he moved to Promitheas Patras. He then played with Ikaros Kallitheas, Ethnikos Piraeus and Papagou. Personal Papapetrou's father, Argyris Papapetrou, was also a professional basketball player in Greece. His mother, Anastasia, played football in Greece. The Greek A2 Basket League ( el, Ελληνική Α2 Μπάσκετ Λιγκ, link=no), is a professional basketball league in Greece. It is the 2nd-tier level of pro competition, among clubs in the country. It is organized by the Hellenic Basketball Federation (E.O.K.). Papagou ( el, Παπάγου or Παπάγος ''Papagos'') is a suburb and municipal unit in the eastern part of the Athens agglomeration, Greece. The town is named after Marshal Alexandros Papagos, a general who led the Greek Army in the Second World War and the Greek Civil War, before becoming Prime Minister of Greece. The Greek Ministry of National Defense is located in town. Papagou was part of the municipality of Cholargos until 1965, when it became a separate community. It became a municipality in 1982. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Papagou-Cholargos, of which it is a municipal unit according to the Kallikratis Plan.
