Georgios Diamantakos
Georgios Diamantakos (alternate spellings: Giorgos, George) ( el, Γιώργος Διαμαντάκος; born January 14, 1995) is a Greek professional basketball player for Mykonosof the Greek A2 Basket League. He is a right-handed 7 ft. 1 in. (2.16 m) tall center. Professional career Diamantakos began his pro career in Greece in 2012, when he played in the Greek League with Panathinaikos, in a game against Peristeri. In July 2015, he signed with the Turkish club Darüşşafaka, of the Turkish Super League, and was subsequently loaned by them to the Greek club Nea Kifissia. Later, he played in a game with the Bulgarian club, Spartak Pleven, in November 2015. He was then loaned to the Croatian club GKK Šibenik, of the Croatian A-1 League. In July 2016, he signed with Apollon Patras in Greece. On August 10, 2017, he joined G.S. Faros Larissas of the Greek Basket League. Center (basketball)
The center (C), or the centre, also known as the five or the pivot, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. The center is normally the tallest player on the team, and often has a great deal of strength and body mass as well. In the NBA, the center is typically close to tall. They traditionally play close to the basket in the low post. Centers are valued for their ability to protect their own goal from high-percentage close attempts on defense, while scoring and rebounding with high efficiency on offense. Lemnos
Lemnos or Limnos ( el, Λήμνος; grc, Λῆμνος) is a Greek island in the northern Aegean Sea. Administratively the island forms a separate municipality within the Lemnos regional unit, which is part of the North Aegean region. The principal town of the island and seat of the municipality is Myrina. At , it is the 8th-largest island of Greece. The Hrvatski Telekom Premijer liga ( en, Hrvatski Telekom Premier League, ), also known as HT Premijer liga or simply Premijer liga, is the first tier level men's professional basketball league in Croatia. Loan (sports)
In sports, a loan involves a particular player being able to temporarily play for a club other than the one to which they are currently contracted. Loan deals may last from a few weeks to a full season, sometimes persisting for multiple seasons at a time. A loan fee can be arranged by the parent club as well as them asking to pay a percentage of their wages. Association football Players may be loaned out to other clubs for several reasons. Most commonly, young prospects will be loaned to a club in a lower league in order to gain invaluable first team experience. In this instance, the parent club may continue to pay the player's wages in full or in part.
