Georgie Poynton is an Irish professional footballer who last played for League of Ireland Premier Division club Drogheda United. He has previously played for Shelbourne for 2 years, Waterford for a season, St Patrick's Athletic for 2 months as well as his first senior club Dundalk for 5 years including a season on loan at Bohemians. Club career Youth career Poynton started off playing with East Meath United, before moving to Dundalk aged 15 in August 2013. He was fast tracked to the club's under 19's team and continued to impress at that level despite playing 3 years above his age group. He became the youngest ever player to sign a professional contract with Dundalk aged just 16 years 5 months old, on 14 February 2014, despite interest from Middlesbrough and Hibernians. Laytown
Laytown () is a village in County Meath, Ireland, located on the R150 regional road and overlooking the Irish Sea. Historically it was called ''Ninch'', after the townland it occupies. Together with the neighbouring villages of Mornington and Bettystown it comprises the census town of Laytown-Bettystown-Mornington with a combined population of 10,889 at the 2011 Census, which is part of the wider area collectively known as East Meath. 2015 FAI Cup
The 2015 FAI Senior Challenge Cup, also known as the 2015 FAI Irish Daily Mail Senior Cup for sponsorship reasons, was the 95th season of the national football competition of the Republic of Ireland. The winners of the competition earned a spot in the first qualifying round of the 2016–17 UEFA Europa League. A total of 40 teams competed in the 2015 competition, which commenced in March 2015. The teams entered from the 2015 League of Ireland Premier Division and First Division received byes into the second round stage. Four non-league clubs also received byes to the second round. The remaining 12 teams entered at the first round stage. These non-league teams are composed of the sixteen clubs, which reached the fourth round of the 2014–15 FAI Intermediate Cup, and the semi-finalists of the FAI Junior Cup in 2014–15. Oriel Park
Oriel Park is a UEFA Category 2 football stadium located on the Carrickmacross Road in Dundalk, Ireland. The stadium is the home ground of Dundalk Football Club and is owned and operated by the club on land that has been leased from the Casey Family Trust since 1936. The ground has a capacity of 3,100 for European matches (i.e. 3,100 seats) and 4,500 for domestic games (i.e. with the remainder standing). Ronan Finn
Ronan Finn (born 21 December 1987) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Shamrock Rovers in the League of Ireland. He has also played for UCD, Sporting Fingal and Dundalk. Having made over 50 appearances in European competition, Finn competed in the group stages of the Europa League with both Shamrock Rovers (2011) and Dundalk (2016).
