Georgia Miansarow
Georgia Miansarow (born 31 August 1992) is an English born, Australian representative lightweight rower. She is a three-time national champion and won medals at both World Rowing U23 Championships and senior World Rowing Championships in crewed sculling boats. Club and state rowing Raised in England, Miansarow rowed at school and then relocated to Sydney with her Australian mother and British father in 2011 aged 19. Her senior rowing in Australia was initially from the Mosman Rowing Club and later the Sydney University Boat Club. She made her first state representative appearance for New South Wales, in the 2012 women's youth eight which contested and won the Bicentennial Cup at the Interstate Regatta within the Australian Rowing Championships. In 2014 she moved into the New South Wales lightweight quad contesting the Victoria Cup, and she rowed in that event on four occasions between 2014 and 2018 and then again in 2023. Maia Simmonds (born 8 June 1986 in Perth) is an Australian former representative rower. She is a three-time national champion, rowed for her home state of Western Australia in both lightweight and heavyweight crews, in sculling and sweep-oared boats and won a silver medal at the 2014 World Rowing Championships. Club and state rowing Raised in Perth, Simmond's senior rowing club rowing was from the University of Western Australia. In 2010 she rowed in the Uni of WA women's eight which won the Intervarsity Championship at the 2010 Australian Universities Championships. World Rowing Cup
The World Rowing Cup is an international rowing competition organized by FISA (the International Rowing Federation). It began in 1997 and comprises three regattas (apart from in 2001 when there were four) held throughout early summer. In each event points are awarded to the top seven finishing boats and an overall winner determined after the last world cup regatta each year. During the regattas the current leader in each event must wear yellow bibs. The World Rowing Cup has only been staged outside Europe on 3 occasions, in 2001 Princeton and in both 2013 and 2014 Sydney. Alice Arch (born 5 January 1994) is an Australian former representative lightweight rower. She was a national champion and won a silver medal at the 2017 World Rowing Championships. Club and state rowing Arch was educated at Wesley College, Melbourne where she took up rowing. Her senior club rowing has been from the Melbourne University Boat Club. Arch first made state selection for Victoria in 2015 in the women's lightweight quad scull contesting the Victoria Cup at the Interstate Regatta within the Australian Rowing Championships. Amy James (born 29 July 1993) is an Australian representative lightweight rower. She is a two-time national champion and won a silver medal at the 2017 World Rowing Championships. Club and state rowing James' senior club rowing has been from the Toowong Rowing Club. James first made state selection for Queensland in 2011 in the women's lightweight quad scull which contested and won the Victoria Cup at the Interstate Regatta within the Australian Rowing Championships. She rowed again in 2012 in the Victoria Cup for Queensland. In 2016 she regained her seat in the Queensland lightweight quad contesting the Victoria Cup and stroked that crew to a second place. The 2015 World Rowing Championships were World Rowing Championships that were held from 30 August to 6 September 2015 at the Lac d'Aiguebelette, Aiguebelette-le-Lac in France. Description The annual week-long rowing regatta was organized by FISA (the International Rowing Federation). In non- Olympic years the regatta is the highlight of the international rowing calendar; as 2015 was a pre-Olympic year, the championships were also the main qualification event for the following year's Olympics and Paralympics. Hannah Every-Hall
Hannah Every-Hall (born 18 November 1977 in Bendigo) is an Australian former rower, a national champion, World Champion and Olympian. She is married to Michael Hall (born 19 November 1983) and they have a son named Harrison Hall (born 19 November 2006) Club and state rowing Every-Hall's senior rowing was done from the Banks Rowing Club in Melbourne and the Dutton Park Rowing Club in Brisbane. She raced in Victorian representative women's lightweight quad sculls who contested the Victoria Cup at the Interstate Regatta in 1999 (to victory), 2000, 2001 and 2002. Following her 2002 World Championship success Every-Hall took ill while preparing for the 2004 Summer Olympics and discovered she had exercise induced anaphylactic shock.
