This is a list of Jersey women Twenty20 International cricketers. A Twenty20 International is an international cricket match between two representative teams, each having Twenty20 International status, as determined by the International Cricket Council (ICC). A Twenty20 International is played under the rules of Twenty20 cricket. This list includes all players who have played at least one T20I match and is initially arranged in the order of debut appearance. Where more than one player won their first cap in the same match, those players are initially listed alphabetically at the time of debut. Delivery (cricket)
A delivery or ball in cricket is a single action of bowling a cricket ball toward the batter. Once the ball has been delivered, batters may attempt to score runs, with the bowler and other fielders attempting to stop this by getting the batters out. When the ball becomes dead, the next delivery can begin. During the play of the game, a member of the fielding team is designated as the bowler and bowls deliveries toward the batter. Six legal balls in a row constitutes an over, after which a different member of the fielding side takes over the role of bowler for the next over. Turkey Women's National Cricket Team
The Turkey national women's cricket team is the team that represents Turkey in international women's cricket. In April 2018, the International Cricket Council (ICC) granted full Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) status to all its members. Therefore, all Twenty20 matches played between Turkey women and other ICC members after 1 July 2018 are full WT20I matches. The Turkey women's team were scheduled to make their debut at the 2021 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier. However, in August 2021, they were forced to withdraw from the tournament, as they were unable to get approval to travel from the Turkish Sports Ministry. 2023 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier
The 2023 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier was a cricket tournament that formed part of the qualification process for the 2024 ICC Women's T20 World Cup. In an expanded qualification pathway for women's cricket in Europe, this was the first time that a second division was included. The first stage of the tournament was Division Two, held in Jersey in May and June 2023. Six teams played in Division Two, with the top two sides progressing to Division One, which was played in Spain in September 2023. The top two teams in Division One advanced to the 2024 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier along with Ireland, Sri Lanka and six other regional qualifiers. France and Italy advanced from Division Two. Scotland and Netherlands were the top two sides in Division One and therefore advanced to the global qualifier. Grainville Cricket Ground
Grainville Cricket Ground is a cricket ground in Saint Saviour, Jersey. History The first recorded match held on the ground came in 1988 when Jersey played the Hampshire Second XI. The ground has since been the venue of a number of international tournaments, including matches in the 2008 World Cricket League Division Five which was won by Afghanistan, and the 2010 European Cricket Championship Division One, which Jersey won. The ground also hosted four matches for a combined Channel Islands team when it was permitted to take part in the English Minor counties MCCA Knockout Trophy competition in 2001 and 2002. The most notable matches held on the ground came in 2002 when the England women's cricket team played a Women's One Day International tri-series against New Zealand Women and India Women. 2022 Women's T20I Inter-Insular Series
The 2022 Women's T20I Inter-Insular Series, consisting of two Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) matches, took place in Jersey in June 2022. The series was originally scheduled to consist of three WT20I matches, but the third match was later changed to an unofficial contest. The venue for the matches was the Grainville Cricket Ground in St Saviour. The women's inter-insular competition was last contested in 2019, when Guernsey won a single WT20I match. The 2022 France Women's T20I Quadrangular Series was a women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) cricket tournament that was held in Dreux, France, from 5 to 8 May 2022. St. Peter Port () is a town and one of the ten parishes on the island of Guernsey in the Channel Islands. It is the capital of the Bailiwick of Guernsey as well as the main port. 2019 T20 Inter-Insular Cup
Guernsey cricket team hosted Jersey cricket team from 31 May to 1 June 2019 to contest the 2019 T20 Inter-Insular Cup, consisted of three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The series took place at two grounds in Guernsey: College Field in Saint Peter Port and King George V Sports Ground in Castel. The two sides had played an Inter-Insular match annually since 1950, generally as 50-over contests. A Twenty20 series was played for the first time in 2018, with Jersey winning the inaugural series 3–0.
