Georgetown University Institute Of Politics And Public Service
The Georgetown Institute of Politics and Public Service is an academic center at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., dedicated to the study of regional and national politics. It is housed within the McCourt School of Public Policy and was created in the fall of 2013 alongside the school's founding. In 2015, Mo Elleithee, the former communications director of the Democratic National Committee, was appointed its first executive director. In the fall of 2015, the Institute launched its first programs. The goal of the institute is to serve as an "incubator of political thought" in a bipartisan manner and to study such matters as leadership, governance, elections, and public engagement. Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy is located in Washington, D.C. The McCourt School offers one undergraduate degree, five master's degree programs, nine dual degrees, global learning opportunities in a range of destinations, and certificate and other executive education programming. The McCourt School has 52 full-time faculty members, 54 research faculty members and fellows, more than 100 affiliated faculty members, and approximately 500 enrolled students across the various degree and executive education programs. Mohamad Aly "Mo" Elleithee (born December 13, 1972) is an American political campaign strategist. Personal life and education Born in New Jersey, Elleithee grew up in Tucson, Arizona to parents who had immigrated a year prior from Egypt.
