Georges Ulmer
Georges Ulmer (1919–1989) was a Danish-born composer, librettist, and actor who became a naturalized French citizen. He was born Jørgen Frederik Ulmer on 16 February 1919 in Copenhagen, Denmark, and died on 29 September 1989 at Marseille, Bouches-du-Rhône, France. He was the father of singer Laura Ulmer. Biography Ulmer grew up in Spain, where he started work as a musical performer, writer, and composer for the movies. However, it was in France that he quickly found a permanent place in the musical firmament with his immortal cliché of Parisian tourism, ''Pigalle'', which he co-wrote in 1944 with the lyricist, Géo Koger, and composed with Guy Luypaerts. Other than his own interpretation, the song was also covered by Jean Sablon, Charles Dumont, Franck Pourcel, Paul Anka, Bing Crosby, Petula Clark, Silvio Berlusconi, and many others. Giorgio Simonelli
Giorgio Simonelli (14 November 1901 Birth name: Giorgio Simonelli. – 3 October 1966), was an Italian film director, editor, screenwriter and journalist. Life and career Born in Rome, Simonelli obtained a high school diploma in business studies, then he started working as a journalist, and even as a film critic, for the weekly magazines ''Avvenimento'' and ''Gente nostra''. In 1928, at 22, he made his directorial debut co-directing with Nicola Fausto Neroni ''Maratona'' and two years later he was among the screenwriters of the first Italian talking film, '' The Song of Love'' by Gennaro Righelli. Henri Diamant-Berger (9 June 1895 – 7 May 1972) was a French director, producer and screenwriter. In a career that lasted more than 50 years, he directed 48 films between 1913 and 1959, produced 17 between 1925 and 1967 and wrote 21 screenplays between 1916 and 1971. Biography Born in Paris, to a Jewish family, he studied to be a lawyer but was drawn to the motion picture business. He began his career when he co-directed the 1913 silent film short ''De film... en aiguilles'' with André Heuzé. In addition to writing screenplays, during the period from 1916 to 1919, Diamant-Berger also published and edited a film magazine and books about the movies. In 1918, he was hired by Pathé and sent to the United States to help set up the company's film laboratory at Fort Lee, New Jersey. Alf Kjellin
Alf Kjellin (; 28 February 1920 – 5 April 1988) was a Swedish film actor and director, who also appeared on some television shows. Biography Kjellin underwent two changes of names in his early days in Hollywood. The first studio for which he worked billed him as Christopher Kent, and the next studio changed his name to Christopher Kelleen. He made one film using each name. Producer Stanley Kramer wanted him to make another change for another film, but Kjellin insisted on using his real name from that point on. Kjellin was well established as a film actor when he occasionally took on roles in television shows.
