Georges Mayrand
Georges Mayrand (August 21, 1876 – January 20, 1951) was a Canadian politician. Born in Saint-Charles-de-Grondines, Quebec, Mayrand was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Quebec for Montréal-Dorion in 1912. A Quebec Liberal Party, Liberal, he was re-elected in 1916 and defeated in 1919. He died in Montreal in 1951. Montréal-Dorion () was a former provincial electoral district in the Montreal (region), Montreal region of Quebec, Canada that elected members to the Legislative Assembly of Quebec. It was created for the 1912 Quebec general election, 1912 election from part of Hochelaga (provincial electoral district), Hochelaga electoral district. Aurèle Lacombe (January 28, 1887 – March 6, 1963) was a politician Quebec, Canada and a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Quebec (MLA). Early life He was born on January 28, 1887, in Sainte-Scholastique, Laurentides (now part of Mirabel, Quebec). He was a union activist. Political career He ran as a Labour candidate in the district of Montréal-Dorion in the 1919 provincial election and won against Liberal incumbent Georges Mayrand. Lacombe kept the Labor label, but was appointed Minister without Portfolio in Alexandre Taschereau's Cabinet on September 27, 1921.
