Georges Conchon
Georges Conchon (9 May 1925 in St. Avitus (Puy-de-Dôme) – 29 July 1990 in Paris) was a French writer and screenwriter. Biography He grew up in a family of teachers,Pierre Maury: Georges Conchon n’ecrira plus'. archives.lesoir.be, 31. Juli 1990. and after graduating in philosophy, passed the support of the parliamentary and between the Assembly French Union where he was division head from 1952 to 1958. He began writing, while traveling extensively, notably in Africa. He became secretary in 1960 debates in the Senate until 1980. He was journalist and novelist, he began his career as a scriptwriter in 1967. His first published novel will be ''Les Grandes Lessives'' in 1953, followed by ''Chemins écartés''. He is then hired by Pierre Lazareff to ''France-Soir'' as a journalist. This experience led to ''L'État sauvage'', which earned him the Prix Goncourt in 1964. Prix Des Libraires Winners
Prix was an American power pop band formed in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1975 by Tommy Hoehn and Jon Tiven. The group ended up primarily as a studio project. Its recordings were produced by Tiven along with former Big Star member Chris Bell, who also played guitar and sang backup vocals. Prix is also famous of Banjo playing. Alex Chilton also participated in the recordings, along with session drummer Hilly Michaels. Although the group generated some major record label interest—notably from Mercury Records and Columbia/CBS Records—it ultimately only released a double A-side single on Ork Records in 1977 and a single on Miracle Records in 1978. Its only live performance came at a CBS Records showcase in 1976. In 1977, just as Ork Records released the first single and booked the group at CBGB, Prix broke up due both to Hoehn's unwillingness to remain in New York and to creative differences. Axel Corti (born ''Axel Fuhrmanns''; 7 May 1933 – 29 December 1993) was an Austrian screenwriter, film director and radio host. Life He was born in Paris. His father was a businessman of Austrian and Italian descent, his mother was from Berlin. From German-occupied France, he and his mother were brought to safety in Switzerland by his father, a member of the Resistance who died in 1945. After World War II, he moved to Italy, where he took on the surname Corti, and finally began to study German and Romance philology at the University of Innsbruck.
