George Kennedy
George Harris Kennedy Jr. (February 18, 1925 – February 28, 2016) was an American actor who appeared in more than 100 film and television productions. He played "Dragline" in ''Cool Hand Luke'' (1967), winning the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for the role and being nominated for the corresponding Golden Globe. He received a second Golden Globe nomination for portraying Joe Patroni in ''Airport'' (1970). ''Guns of the Magnificent Seven'' is a 1969 American Western film styled in the genre of a Zapata Western, and the second sequel to the 1960 film ''The Magnificent Seven'', itself based on Akira Kurosawa's ''Seven Samurai'' (1954). ''Bringing Up Father'' is an American comic strip created by cartoonist George McManus. Distributed by King Features Syndicate, it ran for 87 years, from January 2, 1913, to May 28, 2000. The strip was later titled ''Jiggs and Maggie'' (or ''Maggie and Jiggs''), after its two main characters. According to McManus, he introduced these same characters in other strips as early as November 1911. Carter McKay is a fictional character that appeared in the later seasons of the popular American television series ''Dallas'', played by George Kennedy from 1988 to 1991.
