George Groves (boxer)
George Groves (born 26 March 1988) is a British former professional boxer who competed from 2008 to 2018. He held the WBA (Super) super-middleweight title from 2017 to 2018. At regional level, he held multiple super-middleweight titles, including the European, British, and Commonwealth titles between 2010 and 2014. As an amateur, Groves won the ABA middleweight title twice in 2007 and 2008. In March 2018, he was ranked as the world's best active super-middleweight by BoxRec, ''The Ring'' magazine and the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board. Amateur career Groves generally fought in the division as an amateur and won the Senior ABA championship for his weight in 2006 and 2007. Transnational Boxing Rankings Board
The Transnational Boxing Rankings Board (TBRB) is an all-volunteer initiative formed in October 2012 with the intention of providing professional boxing with top-ten rankings, identifying the singular world champion of every division and to insist on the sport's reform. Board members are independent professional journalists, boxing historians and record keepers from around the world. Their rankings and titles are meant to be uninfluenced by promoters and the traditional sanctioning bodies. TBRB championships The TBRB awards championships when the top-ranked fighters in any division meet, and currently recognizes legitimate world champions or "true champions" in each weight class. Frank Maloney
Kellie Maloney (formerly Frank Maloney; born 23 January 1953) is an English boxing manager and promoter, and television personality. Maloney managed Lennox Lewis, who won the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world, between 1989 and 2001. This made Maloney the first Briton to manage a British heavyweight champion in almost a century. In August 2014, Maloney announced that she wished to be known as Kellie, and was undertaking gender reassignment. Maloney later appeared in the fourteenth series of ''Celebrity Big Brother'' in August 2014. She has been described as one of the best-known transgender people in Britain. David Price (born 6 July 1983) is a British former professional boxer who competed from 2009 to 2019. At regional level, he held multiple heavyweight championships, including the British and Commonwealth titles from 2012 to 2013; and challenged once for the European title in 2015. The York Hall, officially known as York Hall Leisure Centre, is a multi-purpose indoor arena and leisure centre in Bethnal Green, London. The building opened in 1929 and it is most famous as an international boxing venue with the first nights of professional boxing at the hall taking place in the late 1940s. Monte Barrett (born May 26, 1971) is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1996 to 2014. He challenged once for the WBA heavyweight title in 2006, and fought many top heavyweight champions and contenders during his career. Amateur career Barrett had 40 amateur fights, finishing his amateur career with 37-3 record, signed a contract with Joe De Guardia and turned pro in 1996. David Deron Haye (born 13 October 1980) is a British former professional boxer who competed between 2002 and 2018. He held multiple world championships in two weight classes, and was the first British boxer to reach the final of the World Amateur Boxing Championships, where he won a silver medal in 2001. As a professional, Haye became a unified cruiserweight world champion in 2008, winning three of the four major world titles, as well as the ''Ring'' magazine and lineal titles.
