George Berrell
George Berrell (December 16, 1849 – April 20, 1933) was an American actor of both the 19th and early 20th century stage and of the silent film era. He appeared in numerous stage plays as well as more than 50 films over the course of a career that ran from 1850 to 1927. Biography Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on December 16, 1849, Berrell joined the Gardiner Theatre Company in October 1874, earning a salary that was less than the eighty dollars per week paid individually to its top three stars. In later years, Berrell was signed to a two-year contract with the Neil Shipman Production syndicate in Spokane, Washington. During that time, he appeared on screen and toured the United States and Canada, performing in a variety of theatrical productions.All This Week: Royal

William McKenzie Morrison
William McKenzie Morrison (March 23, 1857 – March 24, 1921) was an American photographer best known for photographs of theater performers in Chicago, Chicago, Illinois. Biography Morrison was born in 1857 in Detroit, Detroit, Michigan, but moved to Chicago at the beginning of the American Civil War. He began working in a photography studio at the age of ten. He attended the Metropolitan Business College in Chicago, graduating in 1879, and he used his education to manage a series of photography studios until 1889, when he opened his own studio, located in the Haymarket Theatre (Chicago), Haymarket Theatre. In 1899, he moved his studio out of the theater building to its own location. In addition to photography, Morrison had numerous business interests, including real estate and ranching. He retired from photography in 1911, selling his business to his employees. Plot Colonel Billy is an ex-dance hall girl who has now gained a reputation as a gunfighter. ''The Grub-Stake'' is a 1923 American silent western film co-directed by Bert Van Tuyle and Nell Shipman, who played the lead role. The screenplay was written by Shipman and produced by her company, Nell Shipman Productions. Nell Shipman Productions was form in October 1920, and its first film, ''The Girl from God's Country'', was a financial failure. $180,000 was raised from investors and filming was done in Spokane, Washington, Ione, Washington, Lake Pend Oreille, and Priest Lake from March to August 1922. Shipman brought her large collection of animals with her for use in the film. The production suffered from financial difficulties and lawsuits for unpaid wages. A judge initially ordered for Shipman's animals to be auctioned off, but this was reversed and the animals were later acquired by the San Diego Zoo. ''The Fire Eater'' is a 1921 American silent Western film directed by B. Reeves Eason and featuring Hoot Gibson.
