Georg Neuhauser
Georg Neuhauser (born February 22, 1982) is an Austrian metal vocalist, best known as the lead vocalist and songwriter for the Austrian symphonic power metal band Serenity. He helped create the stable line up of Serenity in 2004, and has released 4 full-length albums and 1 demo with the band. He has also appeared as guest vocalist on several albums, including Score to a New Beginning by Fairyland and The Human Contradiction by Delain. Musical career The Beginning Georg was born on 22 February 1982, and grew up in Innsbruck, Austria. He began his musical career early at the age of four, singing at home traditional folk music with his mother. It wasn't until he received the heavy metal album " Seventh Son of a Seventh Son" by Iron Maiden on his sixth birthday that heavy metal and power metal would greatly influence his life. Ronald James Padavona (July 10, 1942 – May 16, 2010), known professionally as Ronnie James Dio, was an American heavy metal singer. He fronted and founded numerous bands throughout his career, including Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Dio and Heaven & Hell. Though his parents were from Cortland, New York, Dio was born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, where his family resided for his father's service in the U.S. Army during World War II. The family returned to Cortland when Dio was very young, and he lived there until graduating high school in 1960. Edenbridge are a symphonic metal band from Austria, led by songwriter Arne "Lanvall" Stockhammer and fronted by soprano singer Sabine Edelsbacher. Established in 1998, the band has so far released ten studio albums. History 1998-2004 Edenbridge was formed in 1998 by guitarist and keyboardist Lanvall, singer Sabine Edelsbacher, and bassist Kurt Bednarsky. Epica is a Dutch symphonic metal band, founded by guitarist and vocalist Mark Jansen after his departure from After Forever. Formed as a symphonic metal band with gothic tendencies, later Epica have incorporated into their sound strong death metal influences. Starting from the third album, progressive metal influences have also become evident. In addition, the band often uses thrash metal and groove metal riffs, black metal passages (mostly in the drum technique), power metal moments and references to Arabic music. Amanda Somerville (born March 7, 1979) is an American singer-songwriter and vocal coach who resides in Wolfsburg, Germany. She is known primarily for her work with many European symphonic metal bands. Biography Personal life Somerville was raised in Flushing, Michigan. ''Death & Legacy'' is a concept album based on people and events of the past that had a historical impact, including the Crusades, Galileo, and Marco Polo. The album's three singles are "The Chevalier," "Serenade of Flames," and "When Canvas Starts To Burn." ''Death & Legacy'' continues the development of the band into a symphonic metal or melodic metal group. ''Fallen Sanctuary'' is the second full-length studio album by symphonic metal band Serenity released on August 27, 2008 in Finland; August 29, 2008 in Serenity's home country Austria and Germany. The album was released in the rest of Europe on September 1 and in the US and Canada on September 9. The only single from ''Fallen Sanctuary'' is "Velatum." The album marks the turning point of the band from a power metal group to a symphonic metal. Many aspects of their first album, Words Untold & Dreams Unlived, such as the power riffs and heavy metal influences, remain, but the band adds melodic elements and orchestrations, producing a more melodic, rich sound that are now known for in their music. History Since their third studio album ''Dominate,'' Adagio has evolved from their original power metal sound, but still adhering to their trademark elements of virtuosity and massive orchestral influences. Threshold are an English progressive metal band formed in Surrey in the late 1980s. History 1988–1992 Threshold began their career in 1988, initially playing covers of metal groups like Ratt and Testament. As they continued playing together, they began to write their own songs, and eventually stopped playing covers altogether.
