Hietaniemi
The Hietaniemi cemetery (, ) is located mainly in the Lapinlahti, Helsinki, Lapinlahti quarter and partly in the Etu-Töölö district of Helsinki, the Capital (political), capital of Finland. It is the location for Finnish state funeral services and is owned by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland. Established in 1829, the cemetery includes a large military cemetery section for soldiers from the capital fallen in the wars against the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany: in the Winter War (1939–1940), the Continuation War (1941–1944) and the Lapland War (1944–1945). Kamppi () is a Subdivisions of Helsinki#Neighbourhoods, neighbourhood in the centre of Helsinki, the capital of Finland. Kallio (district)
Kallio (; ; literally " the rock") is a district and a neighbourhood in Helsinki, the capital of Finland, located on the eastern side of the Helsinki peninsula about one kilometre north from the city centre. It is one of the most densely populated areas in Finland. Kallio is separated from the city centre by the Siltasaarensalmi strait, over which is a bridge called Pitkäsilta ("long bridge"). Traditionally, the bridge symbolizes the divide between the affluent centre and the more working class areas around Kallio. After the forming of the new centre in the 19th century, the city expanded northward. The intense industrialization which began in the 1860s in Helsinki saw the construction of the industrial areas around Sörnäinen harbour and to the workers' district of Kallio, with the area becoming inhabited mostly by factory workers. Kallahti (; ) is a neighborhood in the Vuosaari district of Helsinki, Finland. The area consists mainly of apartment buildings built between 1991 and 1999. There are 6,854 inhabitants in Kallahti (1 January 2017). Kalasatama
Kalasatama (; ; literally translated "fish port") is a neighbourhood in the city of Helsinki, Finland. The area is officially part of the Sörnäinen district; and like Sörnäinen, Kalasatama is located a little more than one kilometre north from the coastal centre of Helsinki, near the district of Hakaniemi, and the east side of Kalasatama borders the sea. Itäväylä, which leads in the direction of East Helsinki, runs next to Kalasatama. The Isoisänsilta pedestrian and cycling bridge, opened in 2016, connects Kalasatama to the nearby islands of Mustikkamaa, Korkeasaari and Kulosaari. Kalasatama is projected to become a rather densely built-up area - about 25,000 inhabitants expected to come there, about as many as in Kallio. Kaivopuisto
Kaivopuisto (), nicknamed ''Kaivari'' in Finnish or ''Brunsan'' in Swedish, is one of the oldest and best known parks in central Helsinki, Finland, and also a neighbourhood of about 500 inhabitants where the park is located. Geography To the south, Kaivopuisto borders the Gulf of Finland. To the north is a residential area containing the official private residences of several ambassadors of foreign countries to Finland, including the United States, Estonia, Spain, France, Belgium, Brazil, Italy, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. Description Kaivopuisto offers several hectares of parks, both on flat ground, and on cliffs. The park also includes traces of stone fortifications built in the 18th century. Kaisaniemi
Kaisaniemi () is a part of the centre of Helsinki, Finland, located immediately north of the Helsinki Central railway station and south of Hakaniemi. The most famous part of Kaisaniemi is the Kaisaniemi park, a park covering many hectares right in the city centre. Kaisaniemi is part of the Vironniemi Subdivisions of Helsinki, district and neighbourhood of Kluuvi. The Kaisaniemi district was first founded in the 1820s when Catharina Wahllund, Catharina "Cajsa" Wahllund founded a restaurant in the city centre. The restaurant, which survives to this day, later gave its name to the entire district. The reason for the similarity between the Finnish and Swedish names is that unlike almost every other district in central Helsinki, Kaisaniemi got a Finnish name first, and that name was copied into Swedish, with only a minor orthographic change. Jätkäsaari (; ) is a peninsula and a Subdivisions of Helsinki#Neighbourhoods, quarter in Helsinki, the capital city of Finland. It is part to the Kampinmalmi district and Länsisatama neighbourhood. Jollas, Helsinki
Jollas is a southeastern neighborhood of about 3000 people in Helsinki, Finland located in the eastern part of the Laajasalo island. Jollas was for a long time a loose single-family area with old wooden houses, but since the 1980s the area has been more densely built up. The history of Jollas begins with the Jollas Manor in 1798. The present main building of the manor dates back to 1919 and was designed by Robert Tikkanen. Nature The nature of Jollas represents the inland Archipelago zone of southern Finland with its rocky and sandy terrain, dry cliffs and lush marshes. Jakomäki (; ) is a ''quarter'', part of Suurmetsä neighbourhood in Helsinki, Finland.
