It was released on March 7, 2012 and is the first studio album recorded with the original line-up since '' Hard Way'' of 1990, 22 years before. The song "Fairy" from their album '' Ways'' of 1986 was re-recorded for this album. Show-Ya
are a Japanese all-female Heavy metal music, heavy metal band formed in 1981. The group disbanded in 1998 but reformed with the original line-up in 2005 for the 20th anniversary of their first release. Their music is deeply rooted in classic rock and they have covered songs by bands and artists such as The Beatles, The Doors, the Yardbirds, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and AC/DC in their albums and live shows. Their music evolved from the pop rock genre of their first offerings to the heavy metal genre of their most successful albums, ''Outerlimits'' (1989) and ''Hard Way'' (1990). Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a Music genre, genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. ''Hard Way'' is the eighth album of the Japanese hard rock band Show-Ya. The album was recorded in Los Angeles, USA and produced by Beau Hill and by Kip Winger's brother Paul. It was released on 24 October 1990 and reached position No. 4 in Japan (Oricon Chart). All the lyrics were written by Yoshihiko Andō. This time all the musical arrangements were done by the band. It would be Show-Ya's last studio album with lead singer Keiko Terada. The track "Uchi ni Kaerou" was used as theme song for the anime OVA ''Cleopatra DC''. Ways (album)
''Ways'' is the third album of the Japanese rock group Show-Ya. The album was released on 3 September 1986 in Japan. All the songs were arranged by Tadashi Namba & Show-Ya. Overview Despite being recorded only six months after their previous album '' Queendom'', this album manifests a strong progression both in cohesiveness of the musicians and sound. In fact, the arrangements and compositions are tighter as the result of a real group effort, while the sound of the album is very similar to what could be heard at a Show-Ya's live show at that time. On the contrary, the two poppier songs on the album "S・T・O・P (But I Can't...)" and the single "One Way Heart" were not composed by the band and are almost harbingers of next album '' Trade Lasts style. The single was also used as theme for a Japanese TV show. The hard rocker "Fairy" has since become a staple of every Show-Ya's live show. Keiko Terada
is a Japanese rock singer. She was co-founder and lead singer of the successful Japanese female hard rock and heavy metal band Show-Ya from 1982 to 1991, before going solo. On her solo albums she expanded from hard rock and heavy metal to blues, pop and soul. Terada's trademark for many years was a fake rose tattoo she wore above her right breast. She was inspired by Bette Midler's film '' The Rose'', in which Midler played a Janis Joplin-like character. She maintained over the years a relevant presence in both Japanese TV and Radio, both alone and as member of other bands. She is now member of the reformed Show-Ya and of the special group Nishidera Minoru. Yukinojō Mori
, better known by his stage name , is a Japanese lyricist, composer and poet who is affiliated with Amuse, Inc. He has written over 2,500 songs for numerous artists such as Kyosuke Himuro, Takuro Yoshida and Junichi Inagaki and theme songs for anime series including ''Dragon Ball Z'' and ''Kinnikuman''. Early life Mori grew up in Tokyo, Japan, and often played music in high school with the members of the rock band Yonin Bayashi. His younger brother is Hideharu Mori, keyboardist of the rock band Picasso. Mori was influenced by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, King Crimson, Pink Floyd and glam rock. While witnessing David Bowie's theatrical performance at Shibuya Public Hall in 1973, Mori thought rock music to be reminiscent of kabuki.
