Dirk Gently
Dirk Gently (born Svlad Cjelli, also known as Dirk Cjelli) is a fictional character created by English writer Douglas Adams and featured in the books ''Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency'', ''The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul'' and ''The Salmon of Doubt''. He is portrayed as a pudgy man who normally wears a heavy old light brown suit, red checked shirt with a green striped tie, long leather coat, red hat and thick metal-rimmed spectacles. "Dirk Gently" is not the character's real name. It is noted early on in the first book that it is a pseudonym for "Svlad Cjelli". Dirk himself states that the name has a " Scottish dagger feel" to it. Holistic detective Dirk bills himself as a "holistic detective" who makes use of "the fundamental interconnectedness of all things" to solve the whole crime, and find the whole person. This involves running up large expense accounts and then claiming that every item (such as needing to go to a tropical beach in the Bahamas for three weeks ...

Inspector George Gently
''Inspector George Gently'' (also known as ''George Gently'' for the pilot and first series) is a 2008 British television crime drama series produced by Company Pictures for BBC One, set in the 1960s and loosely based on some of the Inspector Gently novels written by Alan Hunter. The series stars Martin Shaw as the eponymous inspector and Lee Ingleby as Detective Sergeant John Bacchus, with Simon Hubbard and Lisa McGrillis in supporting roles as police constables in the fictitious North East Constabulary. The series moved the setting of the stories to North East England, centring on Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland, and County Durham, as opposed to the Norfolk setting in the books. The death penalty is still in effect in Britain as the series begins, and it is used as a plot feature in some early episodes. The abolition of the death penalty in 1965 is noted in the series. The earliest episodes are set in 1964 with the eighth series taking place in 1970. After fair rati ...

It is Drake's third collaboration with Bad Bunny, following 2018's " Mia" and 2020's " Loyal (Remix)" with PartyNextDoor. Composition "Gently" is a reggaeton song inspired by Latin trap. It finds Drake rapping in both English and Spanish. The song is written in the key of B♭ major with an initial tempo of 70 beats per minute, later transitioning to 108 BPM. Infinity Land
''Infinity Land'' is the third studio album by Scottish rock band Biffy Clyro, released on 4 October 2004 on Beggars Banquet. Overview The album saw the band move into darker territory, in terms of both sound and lyrical content. It also furthered various experiments from ''The Vertigo of Bliss'', such as using 5/4 time ("There is no Such Thing as a Jaggy Snake"), multiple time changes, key changes, instrumental variation, unpredictable riffs and complex song structures. The album contains a hidden track, "Tradition Feed". After the final track, "Pause And Turn It Up", approximately 18 minutes of silence precedes a short poem, read by Simon Neil. "Tradition Feed" can also be found as a B-side to the vinyl 7" single " Only One Word Comes To Mind". As with each of the band's first three albums, it has been played in full once only, on 15 December 2005 at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow. "Only One Word Comes to Mind" reached #27 on the UK Singles Chart. "Glitter And Trauma", "M ...

The Curse Of Love
''The Curse of Love'' is the seventh studio album by English rock band the Coral. The album features 12 previously unreleased tracks that were recorded on an 8-track recorder between their albums ''The Invisible Invasion'' (2005) and '' Roots & Echoes'' (2007). The album was released on 20 October 2014. Composition Musically, the sound of ''The Curse of Love'' has been described as folk and psychedelia, influenced by the work of Echo & the Bunnymen, the Doors and Love. The artwork was reminiscent of ''In the Land of Grey and Pink'' (1971) by Caravan. AllMusic reviewer Tim Sendra wrote that apart from "The Golden Bough", which was the only upbeat song on the album, it was otherwise full of "moody, understated ballads and cinematic instrumentals". ''Musikexpress'' Thomas Weiland noted that it sounded "even more psychedelic" than their previous works as Skelly "devoutly reports on British history and nature". ''The Curse of Love'' is bookended by two instrumentals, "The Curse of Lo ...

Unapologetically (EP)
''Unapologetically'' is the debut EP by American drag queen Monét X Change, released on February 22, 2019, through Randall House. It was released following her win (along with Trinity the Tuck) of season 4 of '' RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars''. It was accompanied by a short film, and for this reason, has been called a "visual EP". Monét X Change co-wrote all four tracks. Background Monét X Change told ''Vulture'' that she wanted to "move in a different direction" from her single "Soak It Up" and "make an album that really speaks to the different makeups in my music library". This influenced the tracks to be of different moods and styles, with a classical introductory track, two upbeat songs and a calmer closing track. She also spoke of her desire for the release to help her to be seen as an artist and musician like Brazilian singer and drag queen Pabllo Vittar, while also being influenced by artists like SZA, H.E.R. and Beyoncé. Music ''Billboard'' characterized the opening t ...

''Ruff N' Ready'' is the third album by the American musical group Ready for the World. It was released on September 19, 1988, via MCA Records. Critical reception The ''Orlando Sentinel'' wrote that "Melvin Riley Jr.'s dead-straight delivery makes the less-than-stellar material emotionally effective—maybe not enough to take over the charts, but it will dominate a few bedroom playlists." Iowa (Slipknot Album)
''Iowa'' is the second studio album by American heavy metal band Slipknot. Released by Roadrunner Records on August 28, 2001, it was produced by Ross Robinson and Slipknot. The title derives from the band's home state, Iowa, which members have stated is one of their greatest sources of inspiration. With much anticipation for the album following the success of their 1999 self-titled debut, pressures on the band were high. Their relationships with each other suffered and this was later described as the darkest time of their career. It was also the first full album to feature guitarist Jim Root after only appearing on two songs from their previous album. Despite troubles within the band and with ''Iowa''s development, Slipknot promoted it for almost a year. ''Iowa'' was a major success, premiering in the top tens of nine countries. Generally positively received, it includes some of their notable songs, such as "Disasterpiece", " The Heretic Anthem", "People = Shit" and the Gramm ...

Diamond (Spandau Ballet Album)
''Diamond'' is the second studio album by English new wave band Spandau Ballet, released on 12 March 1982 by Chrysalis Records. As with their debut album, '' Journeys to Glory'', all songs were produced by Richard James Burgess and written by band guitarist Gary Kemp. The music was inspired by a variety of genres, including the renewed interest in funk around Soho, American film scores with roots in eastern Europe, the second side of David Bowie's ''Low'' album, Pink Floyd records and the mood pieces of another English new wave band, Japan. Burgess, Kemp and lead singer Tony Hadley had difficulties over the course of making the album. After the first song written for it, "Chant No. 1 (I Don't Need This Pressure On)", became the band's biggest hit, Kemp found it harder to churn out material to complete the project. Burgess began to exercise control over Hadley, who struggled with the vocals to the point of losing his temper and needing to take some time off. The recording s ...
