Gary Geld
Gary Geld (born October 18, 1935, Paterson, New Jersey) is an American composer known for his work creating musical theatre, musicals and popular songs with his lyricist partner Peter Udell. Raised in Clifton, New Jersey, Geld graduated from Clifton High School (New Jersey), Clifton High School, where he won a songwriting competition. A graduate of New York University, Geld composed the music to the popular songs "Sealed with a Kiss, Sealed With A Kiss", "Save Your Heart for Me" and "Hurting Each Other" with Udell as lyricist. Geld and Udell co-created the Broadway theatre, Broadway musicals ''Purlie'' (1970, a nominee for the Tony Award for Best Musical), ''Shenandoah (musical), Shenandoah'' (1975), and ''Angel (musical), Angel'' (1978). His music for ''Shenandoah'' was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Original Score in 1975. Geld and Udell also contributed songs to the musical dance revue ''American Dance Machine'' (1978). Karyl Geld Miller
Karyl Geld Miller is an American Emmy Award-winning screenwriter and political cartoonist and commentator. Her Emmy was for Best Writing for the TV special ''Lily'', starring Lily Tomlin and featuring Richard Pryor (1974). That script and the script for the previous years' Tomlin special were both nominated for the Best Written Variety Script award by the Writers Guild of America. "Lily" also won the Best Writing award from The American Academy of Humor, and ''Rolling Stone'' Magazine gave the show its TV Show of the Year award. Miller's sitcom writing and producing credits are extensive.
