Geist (Dwayne Geyer) is a fictional character in the DC Comics universe. He was created by Chuck Dixon and Jim Balent, and first appeared in ''Detective Comics Annual'' #6 (1993). Fictional character biography Dwayne Geyer is among the metahumans whose abilities were activated by alien parasites during the ''Bloodlines (comics), Bloodlines'' event. As a result, he becomes less visible in dim lighting and completely invisible in bright light. Using his powers, he helps Jean-Paul Valley, Batman defeat one of the parasites in Gotham City. Afterwards, Geist largely retires from heroics before returning to battle the Secret Society of Super Villains and being killed by Superboy-Prime. He is later transported to Limbo (DC Comics), Limbo before being resurrected as a Black Lantern Corps, Black Lantern during the ''Blackest Night'' event.
