The Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race also known as Great Ocean Road Race or Cadel Road Race is an annual professional one-day road bicycle racing for both men and women starting and finishing in Geelong, Victoria, Australia, and routed along the picturesque Great Ocean Road. The first races were held in 2015 as the farewell race for Cadel Evans – Australian cyclist who won the Tour de France in 2011 and the road world championships in 2009. Geelong had previously played host to the Australia World Cup in the UCI Women's Road World Cup between 2003 and 2008. In 2017, the men's race joined the UCI World Tour calendar. Katheryn Curi (formerly Katheryn Curi Mattis; born May 29, 1974, in Goshen, Connecticut) is an American former professional racing cyclist who rode for the Webcor Builders Women's Professional Cycling Team, until the sponsor discontinued it before the 2011 season. She won the United States National Road Race Championships in Park City, Utah, in June 2005. In February 2008 she won the Geelong World Cup thereby claiming the UCI World Cup leader's jersey. Anna Millward, née Wilson, (born 26 November 1971) is an Australian cycle racer. During her cycling career, she won the overall UCI points title in 2001, and twice was UCI overall World Cup points champion, winning a total of 5 World Cup races in her career. She also won two silver medals in the UCI Road World Championship competition in 1999 and twice won the Women's Challenge race (1996 and 2000). In the 2000 Sydney Olympics she finished fourth in both the time trial and the road race. In the month after her home Olympics, on 18 October, she broke the UCI women's Hour record in Melbourne with a distance of 43.501 km.
