Geauga County Maple Festival
The Geauga County Maple Festival is a fair celebrating the production of maple syrup. It is the oldest maple festival in the United States, and one of the largest. The fair takes place in Chardon, Ohio Chardon is a city in Geauga County, Ohio, United States, and its county seat. The population was 5,242 at the 2020 United States census, 2020 census.Chardon Courthouse Square District. Chardon is located in northeast Ohio, about 35 miles east of Cleveland. The festival was founded in 1926 in an attempt to market Ohio syrup in competition with Vermont syrup. This festival went on hiatus in 1942–45 & 2020-21.

Chardon Courthouse Square District
The Chardon Courthouse Square District is located in Chardon, Ohio, and contains the Geauga County Courthouse as well as the several buildings serving as the courthouse annexes. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places, National Register on 1974-10-18. The Chardon Courthouses Square District is a group of late 19th century buildings, most in a High Victorian Italianate Style. The district covers the public green, the county courthouse and two blocks of commercial buildings on the west side of the public green.
