Gaëtan Dussausaye
Gaëtan Dussausaye (born 5 April 1994) is a French politician. From 2014 to 2018, he was the President of the National Rally (France), National Front's youth wing, Génération Nation, Front national de la jeunesse. He currently holds various positions within the party. Following the 2024 European Parliament election in France, he was elected as a Member of the European Parliament. Biography Gaëtan Dussausaye grew up in Plessis-Pâté, with a mother who worked as a nurse, a father who was marketing director for a large French company, two brothers and one sister. His parents were not political and had never voted for the National Front. He obtained a baccalauréat littéraire, graded 'Academic grading in France, Bien', in 2011. 2015 French Departmental Elections
Departmental elections to elect the membership of the departmental councils of France's 100 departments were held on 22 and 29 March 2015 (first and second round). In 2015 for the first time, the term "departmental elections" (French: ''élections départementales'') replaced "cantonal elections" (''élections cantonales''); as did the term "Departmental Council" (''conseil départemental''), replacing "General Council" (''conseil général''). The 2014 Paris Municipal elections took place on 23 and 30 March 2014, at the same time as other French municipal elections. Anne Hidalgo of the Socialist Party was elected mayor of Paris, becoming the first woman to hold that position. She had been the city's deputy mayor. Hidalgo won with around 55% of the vote in the second round. Her principal opponent was Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet of the UMP who had finished ahead of Hidalgo in first round of voting on 23 March.
