Gavin McGowan
Gavin Gregory McGowan (born 16 January 1976) is an English retired professional Association football, footballer who played as a Defender (association football), defender. McGowan featured for Arsenal F.C., Arsenal in the Premier League and for Luton Town F.C., Luton Town in the Football League Second Division. Career McGowan was born in Blackheath, London, Blackheath, England. He joined Arsenal's youth team in 1992 at the age of 16. In 1994, he won the FA Youth Cup with Arsenal when they beat Millwall F.C., Millwall 5–3 in the final. He only played one game against Crystal Palace F.C., Crystal Palace as Arsenal won the 1997–98 FA Premier League, meaning he did not qualify for a winners' medal. In all McGowan made seven appearances for Arsenal with six caps coming in the Premier League, and one in the FA Cup for the London side. Blackheath is an area in Southeast London, straddling the border of the Royal Borough of Greenwich and the London Borough of Lewisham. Historically within the county of Kent, it is located northeast of Lewisham, south of Greenwich, London, Greenwich and southeast of Charing Cross, the traditional centre of London. Overview Premier League Manchester United were crowned FA Premier League champions with an 18-point margin over runners-up Arsenal and with just 3 league defeats all season. Joe Kinnear
Joseph Patrick Kinnear (27 December 1946 – 7 April 2024) was an Irish professional football manager and player. As a defender, Kinnear spent the majority of his career spanning ten seasons with Tottenham Hotspur and one with Brighton & Hove Albion. With Tottenham he won the FA Cup, the League Cup twice, the Charity Shield, and the UEFA Cup. After Spurs, Kinnear played for Brighton for the 1975–76 season. Having been born in Dublin, Kinnear played and was capped 26 times for the Republic of Ireland national team.
