Gaston Juchet
Gaston Juchet () was a French engineer, known for being the chief designer of Renault between 1963 and 1975 and again between 1984 and 1987. Early life and career Gaston Juchet's interest in drawing begun when he was a boarder at the Lycée Louis-le-Grand in Paris. He graduated with engineering degrees from the École Centrale Paris. In 1958, after his military service, he joined Renault's research and development department as an aerodynamics engineer. His first work within the company was a facelifting for the Frégate. Later, he was the key developer of the project 115, which would become the Renault 16. From 1963 onwards, he was one of the most important designers within Renault. In 1965, he was officially appointed chief of Renault Styling. The Renault 20 ''(R20)'' and Renault 30 ''(R30)'' are two executive cars produced by the France, French automaker Renault between 1975 and 1984. The most upmarket and expensive Renaults of their time, the two cars were almost identical with regard to sheet metal and mechanicals; the R30 was the larger-engined and more expensive of the two. The two cars were easily distinguished between each other from their differing headlight configuration – the Renault 20 had two single rectangular headlights, whereas the Renault 30 had quadruple round headlights. The interior specifications differed substantially, however, with the Renault 30 having a higher specification in all models. Richard Arthur Teague (December 26, 1923 – May 5, 1991) was an American industrial designer in the North American automotive industry. He held automotive design positions at General Motors, Packard, and Chrysler before becoming Vice President of Design for American Motors Corporation (AMC). Teague designed several notable show cars and production vehicles, including the Packard Executive, many AMC models, such as the AMC Pacer, Pacer, AMC Gremlin, Gremlin, and AMC Hornet, Hornet, as well as the Jeep Cherokee (XJ), Jeep Cherokee XJ. Sergio Coggiola (1928-1989) was an Italian designer known primarily for his automotive work at Carrozzeria Ghia in Turin for 15 years — serving as the head of Ghia's prototype shop until 1952 — and later at his own company, , which he founded in 1966 in Orbassano, Italy, a commune of Turin. In the 1980s, Coggiola freelanced for car manufacturers, sometimes executing third-party designs, such as Trevor Fiores' design of the concept car Citroën Karin, the Lamborghini Portofino or prototypes of the Renault Mégane. Giorgetto Giugiaro (; born 7 August 1938) is an Italian automotive designer. He has worked on supercars and popular everyday vehicles. He was named Car Designer of the Century in 1999 and inducted into the Automotive Hall of Fame in 2002. He was awarded the Compasso d'Oro industrial design award six times, including a lifetime achievement awarded in 1984.
