Gary Wilson (author)
Gary Bruce Wilson (1956–2021) was an American anti-pornography campaigner. Biography Wilson was an atheist who lived in Ashland, Oregon. He was formerly an adjunct professor of biology at Southern Oregon University and also taught at vocational schools. Together with his wife, Marina Robinson, he was an instructor of karezza, and the couple shared an antipathy towards orgasms. He became widely known from his 2012 TEDx talk entitled "The Great Porn Experiment" in which he argued exposure to pornography changes brain chemistry. The talk has been viewed over 13 million times. Coolidge Effect
The Coolidge effect is a biological phenomenon seen in animals, whereby males exhibit renewed sexual interest whenever a new female is introduced, even after sex with prior but still available sexual partners. To a lesser extent, the effect is also seen among females with regard to their mates. The Coolidge effect can be attributed to an increase in sexual responsiveness, and a shortening of the sexual refractory period. The evolutionary benefit to this phenomenon is that a male can fertilize multiple females. The male may be reinvigorated repeatedly for successful insemination of multiple females. This type of mating system can be referred to as polygyny, where one male has multiple female mates, but each female mates with only one or a few males. No Nut November is an internet challenge revolving around male abstinence from masturbation, sex and ejaculation (or colloquially "to nut") during the month of November. It originated in late 2010 and grew in popularity on social media during and after 2017. NoFap is a website and community forum that serves as a support group for those who wish to give up pornography and masturbation. Its name comes from the slang term ''fap'', referring to male masturbation.
