Gary Tuggle
Gary Tuggle (born 1963 or 1964) is an American police officer and former Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agent who served as acting commissioner of the Baltimore Police Department from 2018 to 2019. Born and raised in Baltimore, Tuggle served in the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) in the 1980s and joined the DEA in 1992. He was an agent in Baltimore, Bridgetown, Chicago, and Miami. After serving as the DEA attaché to the Embassy of the United States, Port of Spain, he worked at DEA headquarters. He was appointed assistant special agent in charge of the Washington Field Division, managing the Baltimore office, in 2012, and head of the Philadelphia Field Division in 2015. He rejoined the BPD in 2018 as a deputy commissioner under Darryl De Sousa. Tuggle succeeded De Sousa as acting commissioner on May 11, 2018, when he was placed on paid suspension after an indictment for tax evasion. ShotSpotter claims it can identify whether or not a gunshot was fired in an area in order to dispatch law enforcement, though researchers have noted concerns about effectiveness, reliability, privacy, and equity. ''The News Journal'' is a daily newspaper in Wilmington, Delaware. It is headquartered in unincorporated New Castle County, Delaware, near New Castle, and is owned by Gannett. WDDE (91.1 FM) is an NPR-member radio station based out of Dover, Delaware. It is owned and operated by Delaware First Media Corporation, and is the first and only full-fledged public radio station based in Delaware. WDDE's studios are located on the Delaware State University campus, and its transmitter is located in Felton, Delaware. WDDE broadcasts a variety of national and international programming from NPR, BBC World Service, and Public Radio International as well as local news created by WDDE's staff. Upper Marlboro, officially the Town of Upper Marlboro, is the county seat of Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. As of the 2020 United States census, 2020 census, the population within the town limits was 652, although Greater Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Greater Upper Marlboro, which covers a large area outside the town limits, is many times larger.
