Gary King (broadcaster)
Gary Dennis King (July 24, 1934 – August 28, 2019) was an American businessman and radio personality. He founded WYAR, in Yarmouth, Maine, in 1998. He established the Heritage Radio Society three years earlier. Early life King was born in Pownal, Maine, in 1934, to Charles King and Marion Noyes. He moved to Yarmouth, Maine, during his childhood, and lived on Elm Street (Yarmouth, Maine), East Elm Street. He served as a radio operator in the United States Army Signal Corps in Germany at the conclusion of World War II. Career After returning to Maine from military service, King worked as an announcer on WCME and WCSH. At WCSH, he became a television engineer, then a program director. In 1995, he established the Heritage Radio Society. Three years later, WYAR went on the air in the basement of their home on Cousins Island, Maine. Gary R. King (born November 15, 1972) is an American director and writer. Films King's feature film, a musical entitled ''How Do You Write A Joe Schermann Song'' (2012), won the Jury Prize for "Film of the Festival" at the Raindance Film Festival, as well as the Cox Audience Award and the Dan Harkins Breakthrough Filmmaker Award at the Phoenix Film Festival. The film also won Best Feature, Best Trailer, Best Soundtrack and Best Director at the Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema, as well as being shortlisted for an IFP Gotham Audience Award. Gary Ian King (born 27 January 1990) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker. King notably played in the Football League with both Lincoln City and Accrington Stanley, as well as spending time on loan with Boston United. He has since been a journeyman in non-league football and has played for Hinckley United, Louth Town, Stamford, Harrogate Town, Worksop Town, Grantham Town, Corby Town, Spalding United, Brigg Town, Coalville Town, Deeping Rangers, Holbeach United, Lincoln United, Skegness Town and Frickley Athletic. Weatherhead III University Professor and Director for the Institute for Quantitative Social Science at Harvard University. Gary Kenneth King (born September 29, 1954) is an American lawyer, politician, and energy consultant who served as the 30th attorney general of New Mexico from January 1, 2007, to January 1, 2015. King previously served as an advisor in the United States Department of Energy, a member of the New Mexico House of Representatives, and the Democratic nominee for New Mexico governor in the 2014 election. Gary W King (September 5, 1947 – July 23, 2003) was an American jazz bassist, songwriter, composer, and arranger. He was born in Middletown, New York. ''The World's End'' is a 2013 science fiction action comedy film directed by Edgar Wright and written by Wright and Simon Pegg.
