Gary Groh
} Gary Mathieu Groh (born October 11, 1944) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour in the 1970s. Groh was born in Chicago, Illinois. He attended Michigan State University and turned pro in 1968. Groh played on the PGA Tour from 1971 to 1978 and won one event. His career year was 1975 when he won the Hawaiian Open, earned $68,296 and finished 31st on the money list. His best finish in a major championship was T18 at the U.S. Open in 1975. After leaving the PGA Tour, Groh took a job as head pro at Bob O' Link Golf Club in Highland Park, Illinois – a job he has held for more than a quarter of a century. In 1995, he joined the Senior PGA Tour and has played in a limited number of events; his best finish in this venue is T17 at the 1995 Ameritech Senior Open. Allen Lee Geiberger Sr. (born September 1, 1937) is an American former professional golfer. Professional career Geiberger turned pro in 1959 and joined the PGA Tour in 1960. Geiberger won 11 tournaments on the PGA Tour, the first being the 1962 Ontario Open and the biggest being the 1966 PGA Championship, a major title. He won the Tournament Players Championship in 1975, and played on the Ryder Cup teams in 1967 and 1975. Geiberger also won 10 times on the Senior PGA Tour, now called the Champions Tour. This is a list of Spring 1969 PGA Tour Qualifying School graduates. The tournament was played at the PGA National Golf Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida in April. The tour reduced the length of the tournament from 144 holes to 72 holes for the first time. There were 91 players in the field and 15 earned their tour card. Illinois Open Championship
The Illinois Open Championship is a golf tournament that is administered by the Illinois PGA (Professional Golfers' Association). The state championship of golf is a 54-hole championship over three days to determine the finest player in the state of Illinois. The tournament is open to professionals and amateurs with a handicap of 10 or less who reside within the state of Illinois. In 2015, for the first time in the history of the Illinois Open, the Illinois PGA changed the format of the event having it contested at two facilities for the first and second rounds.
