Gary Fethke
Gary Craig Fethke (born January 16, 1942) was an interim president of the University of Iowa. Fethke succeeded David Skorton, who left the University of Iowa to assume the presidency of Cornell University. Fethke earned both his B.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Iowa. He taught at Bradley University from 1968 to 1974, and at the London School of Economics. He became a management science and economics professor at Iowa. In 1988 Fethke was named an associate dean of the Henry B. Tippie College of Business, and in 1993 he was named the interim dean of the Tippie College. One year later he was named dean. Fethke served as president from David Skorton's departure in of the University of Iowa in 2006 until August 1, 2007. David Skorton
David Jan Skorton is an American physician and academic. He has been president and chief executive officer of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) since July 15, 2019. Prior to the AAMC, he led the Smithsonian Institution, the national research museums of the United States, as its 13th Secretary from July 2015 to June 2019. A cardiologist, he was president of Cornell University from 2006 to 2015. Before arriving at Cornell, he served as president of the University of Iowa, where he had been a longtime professor and then vice president. He began his career as a professor of medicine and engineering. Education Skorton studied at the University of California, Los Angeles before transferring to Northwestern University, where he was awarded a bachelor's degree in psychology in 1970 and an M.D. in 1974. Sally Kay Mason (née Viparina on May 29, 1950) is an American academic administrator. She became the 20th President (and second female president) of University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa on August 1, 2007. She retired on August 1, 2015. Early life and education Mason was born Sally Viparina in New York and grew up in New Jersey. She graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1972 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in zoology, and as such was the first member of her family to graduate from college. She then earned a Master of Science from Purdue University in 1974, followed by a Ph.D. in 1978 from the University of Arizona in cellular, molecular, and developmental biology. David John Haskins (born 24 April 1957, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England), better known as David J, is a British alternative rock musician, producer, and writer. He is the bassist for the gothic rock band Bauhaus and for Love and Rockets. He has composed the scores for a number of plays and films, and also wrote and directed his own plays, ''Silver for Gold (The Odyssey of Edie Sedgwick)'', in 2008, which was restaged at REDCAT in Los Angeles in 2011, and ''The Chanteuse and The Devil's Muse'' in 2011. His artwork has been shown in galleries internationally, and he has been a resident DJ at venues such as the Knitting Factory.
