Roger Barnes (born March 30, 1945) is a Canadian former professional wrestling, professional wrestler, better known by his ring name, "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin. Garvin Bushell ''(né'' Garvin Lamont Payne; September 25, 1902 – October 31, 1991) was an American clarinetist, saxophonist, and bassoonist. He performed with many prominent 20th-century jazz musicians, including Jelly Roll Morton and John Coltrane. Early life Bushell was born in Springfield, Ohio, to Alexander Payne, Jr. (1875–1908) and Effie Penn ''(maiden;'' 1879–1968). After his father's death, his mother – on January 12, 1910, in Covington, Kentucky – married Rev. Joseph Davenport Bushell (1878–1960). Garvin adopted the surname of his stepfather. Garvin James Alston Sr. (born December 8, 1971) is an American former professional baseball right-handed pitcher who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Colorado Rockies in 1996. Thomas Christopher Garvin (7 July 1943 – 17 October 2024) was an Irish political scientist and historian. He was Professor Emeritus of Politics at University College Dublin. Garvin was an alumnus of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, DC. Stephen Garvin (c. 1826 – 23 November 1874), born in Cashel, County Tipperary, was an Irish recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.
