Garry Brooke
Garry James Brooke (24 November 1960 – 18 January 2025) was an English professional footballer who played as a midfielder for Tottenham Hotspur, Norwich City, FC Groningen, Wimbledon, Stoke City and Brentford before moving into non-league football.Hugman, B, J, (Ed) ''The PFA Premier& Football League Players' Records'' (2005) p83 Career Brooke began his career with Tottenham Hotspur. He spent a year on loan at Swedish side GAIS, scoring eight goals in 23 appearances and made his Spurs debut in a 3–2 defeat against West Bromwich Albion. His full debut came in a 4–4 draw with Southampton, with Brooke scoring twice. His debut season ended with a substitute appearance in the 1981 FA Cup Final, which saw Tottenham beat Manchester City in a replay. His second season with Spurs saw the team again lift the FA Cup in a replay but Brooke's place in the side came under threat from Glenn Hoddle and Tony Galvin. Henk van Brussel (; 12 June 1936 – 7 October 2007) was a Dutch football player and manager. Playing career Van Brussel played for local side Excelsior '31 and was part of the Go Ahead squad that won promotion to the Eredivisie in 1963. Managerial career Van Brussel worked for Go Ahead Eagles, Rohda Raalte (amateurs), SC Heerenveen, De Graafschap, FC Groningen and SC Heracles. Mel Machin
Melvyn Machin (born 16 April 1945) is an English former football player and manager. A midfielder, he started his career at Port Vale in 1962 before he moved on to Gillingham four years later. He made his name at the club from 1966 to 1970 before he transferred to Bournemouth & Boscombe Athletic for three years. In 1974, he signed with Norwich City, also playing on loan at American club Seattle Sounders, before he retired in 1978 – he was later voted into Norwich City's Hall of Fame in 2002. Appointed manager of Manchester City in 1987, he won them promotion out of the Second Division in 1988–89, before he left to take up the reins at Barnsley. In September 1994, he was appointed manager at Bournemouth, where he would remain for the next six years, managing them to a Football League Trophy final in 1998. Tony Galvin
Anthony Galvin (born 12 July 1956) is a former professional footballer who played as a winger. He played most successfully with Tottenham Hotspur, for whom he played 201 league games. He finished his league career with spells at Sheffield Wednesday and Swindon Town. Born in England, he played for the Republic of Ireland, winning 29 caps including 3 in Euro 88. Glenn Hoddle (born 27 October 1957) is an English former football player and manager. He currently works as a television pundit and commentator for ITV Sport and TNT Sports.
