Garros Galería or Garros Gallery is located in Colonia Roma in Mexico City. It is the only art gallery and museum dedicated to cats in Mexico. History The enterprise was begun by siblings Joel and María del Carmen Nava Polina, along with Rodrigo Moreno González, who realized that there were cat museums in the United States, Canada and the Bahamas but not in Mexico. Both come from a family of cat lovers with fifteen cats between them currently. They had also built a large collection of cat-related items over the years. The gallery began in 2006 by gathering various artists and friends to donate and put works for the gallery on consignment. Since then, the gallery has had success because it caters to a niche market which had not been served previously. Sales have included those to Europe through the Internet. Boris Garrós Torrent (born 22 June 1988) is a Spanish professional association football, footballer who plays for CE Atlètic Lleida, Atlètic Lleida as a Forward (association football), forward. Club career Early career Born in Barcelona, Catalonia, Garrós made his senior debut with CE Europa in the 2007–08 Tercera División, 2007–08 season, in Tercera División. Christian Garros
Christian Garros (February 17, 1920, Paris – August 23, 1988, Rouen) was a French jazz drummer and bandleader. Garros began playing professionally shortly after the end of World War II, working with Django Reinhardt and Jacques Hélian. He was a regular at clubs in Paris in the 1950s, including the Club Saint-Germain, and played with Bill Coleman, Bobby Jaspar, Lee Konitz, Martial Solal, and Lucky Thompson. He played with the Birdland All Stars in 1956 and was a founding member, with Georges Arvanitas and Guy Lafitte, of the Paris Jazz Trio in 1958. In the 1960s, he recorded with Alice Babs and Duke Ellington among others, and was a session musician for film and television soundtracks directed by Michel Legrand and Quincy Jones. In 1960 he began a longtime association with Jacques Loussier, and formed the Néo Jazz Quartet in 1976 with Roger Guérin, Pierre Michelot, and Michel de Villers. Eugène Adrien Roland Georges Garros (; 6 October 1888 – 5 October 1918) was a French aviation pioneer and fighter pilot. Garros began a career in aviation in 1909 and performed many early feats such as the first-ever airplane crossing of the Mediterranean Sea in 1913. He joined the French Army, French army and became one of the earliest fighter pilots during World War I. Garros was shot down and died on 5 October 1918. In 1928, the Stade Roland Garros, Roland Garros tennis stadium was named in his memory; the French Open tennis tournament officially takes the name of Roland Garros, which is held in this stadium. Biography Roland Garros was born in Saint-Denis, Réunion, and studied at the Lycée Janson de Sailly and HEC Paris. At the age of 12, he caught pneumonia, and was sent to Cannes to recover.
