Garhwal Heroes Football Club (also known as Garhwal Football Club) is an Indian professional football club based in New Delhi. The club lifted its first FD Senior Division league title in 1986, which became one of the most successful seasons in their history. In 2010, Garhwal FC became the first Delhi based club to enter into the quarter final of Durand Cup, prestigious and oldest knockout football club tournament in India. They also competed in the I-League 2nd Division. Dr. Ambedkar Stadium is a football stadium in New Delhi, India. The stadium is named after Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, social reformer and architect of the Indian Constitution. It was earlier known as Corporation Stadium. It has held competitions like Delhi Football League, DCM Trophy, Subroto Cup and Durand Cup. Bhaichung Bhutia Football Schools (BBFS), an entity of Talent Invigoration and Sports Management Private Limited, is a football youth development initiative by Bhaichung Bhutia, the former Indian football team captain, Kishore Taid, and Anurag Khilnani, in association with Football by Carlos Queiroz (FBCQ), the Portuguese football academy by Carlos Queiroz. Kanak Pal
Kanak Pal also known as Raja Kanakpal was a prince of Paramara dynasty of Malwa (Madhya Pradesh) who was later crowned Heir to Raja Son Pal (his Father-In-Law). He later laid the foundation of Garhwal Kingdom. He was the first independent ruler of the entire Kingdom of Garhwal. There are A.S.I. accounts stating he reigned in 699 AD or earlier. Life and background Kanak Pal was primarily a prince of Paramara dynasty, belonging to Malwa or in modern-day Madhya Pradesh. Kingdom of Garhwal ( ''गढ़वाल राज्य'' ) was an Himalayan kingdom in the current north-western Himalayan state of Uttarakhand, India, founded in 823 CE by Kanak Pal the progenitor of the Panwar dynasty that ruled over the kingdom uninterrupted until 1803 CE. 2020 I-League Qualifiers
The 2020 I-League qualifiers (also known as Hero I-League Qualifiers 2020 for sponsorship reasons) was the 13th season of I-League 2nd Division, the second division of Indian football league, since its establishment in 2008.
