Gareena
''Gareena'' is a Maldivian crime thriller web series directed by Mohamed Faisal. It stars Mariyam Majudha, Mohamed Faisal, Ansham Mohamed and Rafiu Mohamed in main roles. The pilot episode of the series was released on 5 October 2023. Filming took place in B. Goidhoo and K. Thulusdhoo. Premise Shimla, an award winning journalist travels to a remote island to cover a brutal murder case of a five year old girl. She works closely with Police IO Rilwan, who led the investigation. Slowly, the case becomes Shimla's most challenging job a s journalist. The more she searches for answers, a dark past starts to haunt her. Ahmed Zareer
Ahmed Zareer is a Maldivian screenwriter, director and producer. He initially gained recognition for his collaborative work with screenwriter Mahdi Ahmed, during which they co-wrote screenplays for several projects, including the action masala film '' Ahsham'' (2015), family drama ''Vee Beyvafa'' (2016) and the crime anthology web series ''Hatharu Halha'' (2019). Ali Farooq
Ali Farooq (born 18 March 1954) is a Maldivian actor. Career In 2006, he collaborated with Amjad Ibrahim for romantic drama film '' Hithuge Edhun'' (2006), which tells the story of a disabled man, with Farooq playing the role of the father of Shaniya, a caring wife who conceals the truth about her first marriage. He then appeared in Ali Shifau's suspense thriller ''Happy Birthday'' (2009) which centers around a man who receives a birthday call informing him that his wife and son have been kidnapped and will be released in exchange for a ransom. Mariyam Waheedha (born 5 September 1984) is a Maldivian film actress and a news editor. Career Prior to her acting career, Waheedha worked as a news editor. She made her film debut in the Ravee Farooq-directed web series ''Ehenas,'' where she portrayed the character Zidhu, a colleague of a bullied and sexually abused male victim. Mohamed Faisal (actor)
Mohamed Faisal is a Maldivian film actor, editor and director. Career Faisal made his film debut with the romantic film '' Loaiybahtakaa'' (2009), written and directed by Yoosuf Shafeeu in which he stars as businessman from a wealthy family struggling to express his feelings. The romantic drama, co-starring Sheela Najeeb, Fathimath Fareela and Yoosuf Shafeeu, tells the story of unrequited love, and proved to be a commercial success. His performance in the film garnered him a nomination at 1st Maldives Film Awards ceremony. Mariyam Majudha
Mariyam Majudha (born 18 March 1988) is a Maldivian film actress. Career Majudha made her film debut in the Aishath Fuad Thaufeeq-directed ''Hulhudhaan'' as Sama (2014) alongside Roanu Hassan Manik, which was a critical success. Ahmed Sharif (born 31 August 1991) is a Maldivian film actor. Career Prior to acting, Sharif was more involved in the creative departments of the film where he served as a foley artist and a boom operator in Aishath Rishmy's romantic film '' Bos'' (2017).
