Gardeo Isaacs (born 27 December 1998) is a South African sprinter. He became South African national champion in 2019 over 400 metres. Early life From Parow, Cape Town he attended Stellenbosch University where he studied Management Accounting. Career He won the South African 400m national title in April 2019 in Germiston in a time of 45.39 seconds. He won the 400m at the South African Varsity Athletics meet in 2019, running a time of 45.70 seconds. Later that year, he went on to win the bronze medal in 45.89 seconds for South Africa at the 2019 Summer Universiade in Naples, Italy. He ran as part of the South African 4x400m relay team at the 2019 IAAF World Championships in Doha having also ran as a part of the team at the 2019 IAAF World Relays in Japan. He ran for South Africa at the 2022 African Championships in Athletics in Mauritius. 2019 IAAF World Championships
The 2019 IAAF World Athletics Championships () was the seventeenth edition of the biennial, global athletics competition organised by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), since renamed World Athletics. It was held between 27 September and 6 October 2019 in Doha, Qatar, at the renovated multi-purpose Khalifa International Stadium, but reduced to 21,000 available seats. 1,772 athletes from 206 teams competed in 49 athletics events over the ten-day competition, comprising 24 events each for men and women, plus a mixed relay.
