Gangs Of Lagos
''Gangs of Lagos'' is a 2023 Nigerian thriller crime film produced and directed by Jadesola Osiberu. It stars Tobi Bakre, Adesua Etomi, Chike, Iyabo Ojo, Chioma Chukwuka, Zlatan, Bimbo Ademoye, Yvonne Jegede, Yinka Quadri, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, and Yhemolee. The film portrays the story of three friends Obalola, Ify, and Gift, who grew up in Ìsàlẹ̀ Èkó, a neighborhood controlled by politically connected gangs. As rival factions clash and violence erupts, they became entangled in the escalating gang warfare. Creative director and writer Jadesola Osiberu developed the idea during the production of her earlier project, ''Gidi Up'', inspired by observing residents' daily lives through the windows of neighboring buildings. Jade is an umbrella term for two different types of decorative rocks used for jewelry or ornaments. Jade is often referred to by either of two different silicate mineral names: nephrite (a silicate of calcium and magnesium in the amphibole group of minerals), or jadeite (a silicate of sodium and aluminum in the pyroxene group of minerals). Wasiu Alabi Odetola (Pasuma) (born 27 November 1967), also known as "Oganla", "Gauzu Fuji", "Ijoba Fuji" is a Fuji musician, Nigerian film actor. Eyo Festival
The Eyo Festival, otherwise known as the Adamu Orisha Play, is a Yoruba festival unique to Lagos, Nigeria and has a strong historical footing in Iperu-Remo, a town in Ikenne Local Government, Ogun State. In modern times, it is presented by the people of Lagos as a tourist event. Due to the history of its development, it is traditionally performed on Lagos Island. Kosoko (died 1872) was a member of the Ologun Kutere Lagos Royal Family who reigned as Oba of Lagos from 1845 to 1851.
