Gangai Amaran (born Amar Singh) is an Indian composer, playback singer, lyricist, actor, film director and a screenwriter in Tamil films. Personal life Gangai Amaran was born in Pannaipuram in Theni district, Tamil Nadu in December 1947, as the youngest son of Ramaswamy and Chinnathayi. He is the younger brother of noted music director Ilaiyaraaja and father of director and actor Venkat Prabhu and actor, composer and singer Premji Amaren. He had two more elder brothers, R. D. Ilaiyaraaja (born R. Gnanathesikan) is an Indian musician, composer, arranger, conductor, orchestrator, multi-instrumentalist, lyricist and playback singer popular for his works in Indian cinema, predominately in Tamil cinema, Tamil in addition to Telugu cinema, Telugu, Malayalam Cinema, Malayalam, Kannada cinema, Kannada and Hindi cinema, Hindi films. ''Mouna Geethangal'' () is a 1981 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy drama film written and directed by K. Bhagyaraj. The film stars Bhagyaraj himself alongside Saritha, with S. Krishnamoorthy and Master Suresh in supporting roles. It revolves around a man attempting to reconcile with his estranged ex-wife after five years. Prem Kumar Gangai Amaren (born 26 February 1979), better known as Premgi or Premji () is an Indian singer, composer, songwriter, actor and comedian. The son of composer and director Gangai Amaran, he often composes rap songs in Tamil cinema and is known for his comical performances in his elder brother Venkat Prabhu's films. He is also best known for his catchphrases "Enna koduma sir idhu?" () and "Evvalavo pannitom, itha panna mattoma?" Theni District
Theni District is one of the 38 districts of Tamil Nadu state in India. Surrounded by hills, the district is located to the west of Madurai district. The town of Theni is the district headquarters. A playback singer, as they are usually known in South Asian cinema, or ghost singer in Western cinema, is a singer whose performance is pre-recorded for use in films. Playback singers record songs for soundtracks, and the performers lip-sync the songs for cameras; the actual singer does not appear on the screen. Vasuki Bhaskar
Vasuki Bhaskar is an Indian fashion and costume designer, working in the Tamil film industry. She is the daughter of film producer R.D. Bhaskar and Pavalar Creations is their own production house. Career Vasuki was born as the only daughter to the late R. D. Bhaskar, film producer and brother of legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja. Her brothers are film director Parthi Bhaskar and playback singer and actor Hari Bhaskar, who briefly worked on an unfinished film titled ''Oru Idhayam Oru Kaathal'' in 2004, and ''Viyugam'', opposite Kanchi Kaul.
