Gambia Football Federation
The Gambia Football Federation (GFF), formerly known as the Gambia Football Association, is the governing body of football in Gambia. It was founded in 1952, and affiliated to FIFA in 1968 and to CAF in 1966. It organizes the GFA League First Division, the GFA League Second Division and the national team. Confederation Of African Football
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is the administrative and controlling body for association football, beach soccer, and futsal in Africa. It was established on 8 February 1957 at the ''Grand Hotel'' in Khartoum, Sudan. At the FIFA Congress in 1954 held in Bern, Switzerland, it was voted to recognize Africa as a Confederation. Lamin Kaba Bajo
Lamin Kaba Bajo (born 10 November 1964) is a former Gambian politician and diplomat who is the current president of the Gambia Football Federation, having been elected in September 2014. A military officer who commanded the presidential guard of Dawda Jawara, Bajo was not involved in the 1994 Gambian coup d'état, 1994 coup that brought Yahya Jammeh to power, but subsequently joined his government. He first served in cabinet from 1995 to 2000, and was then Ambassador to Saudi Arabia from 2002 to 2005. From 2005 to 2006, Bajo was Minister of Foreign Affairs (The Gambia), Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs (the equivalent of foreign minister). He was also a government minister from 2010 to 2012 and for a brief spell in 2014, and in between stints in cabinet held ambassadorships to Iran (2007–2009), Qatar (2009–2010), and Morocco (2012–2014). Sang Ndong
Sang Ndong is a Gambian football manager and former player. He was an active player in the Gambia national team in 1984 and played at least two matches in the qualifying for 1986 FIFA World Cup. Playing career Sang Ndong started playing from primary to secondary school where he represented the St. Augustine's High School team at various competitions. After graduation, he went straight to the second division playing for the Augustinians from where he transferred to Banjul Hawks and remained there until the end of his career. When he was first called up in national team, he was fifth choice keeper, but eventually became the number one and then captain of the national team.
